Please run Check Notifications on your 2003SE device and post here.
I know 2003 had a bug regarding duplicate notifications being left behind. Has anyone checked their 2003SE devices?
I had my XV6600 for two days. After installing and rebooting numerous times, I installed ScaryBear's Check Notification application. I was surprised. I had 36 notifications and many were duplicates. They weren't the same type as I had with the i700 and 2003, but they were different.
I had MultiMatt check his. He had 280 notifacations! Most were Calendar.exe. That's funny, because he uses Agenda Fusion and those notifications are different. He also had a ton of clientshell.exe notifications.
I propose that everyone running 2003SE (phone edition or not) should install ScaryBear's Check Notifications and post the number of notifications you have running.
Something tells me we have another rampant bug on our hands.
ScaryBear informed me that the bug only exists in WM 2003, no SE. However, I beg to differ. It may not be the SAME bug, but it's a NEW and IMPROVED bug in the next revision of the software.
I had informed him that I'd be posting this information to have others check their devices as well. If you ask me, it's worth it for him to pursue this new bug and update his software.
I guess the next test would be to stop clearing the notification queue and run the device for a week. Check again after that to see your numbers. I was surprised that mine had so many after the initial installation of my applications.
Mine regularly has more duplicates each and every day. I don't know if it's a bug with SE or with something in the startup folder, but there's no doubt it's there.
Only had 33 suprisingly...My phone was still running like crap. Is it me or does SBP pocket plus take up alot of resources? I'm thinking that the reason why my bluetooth headset takes so long to connect to the phone coming out of sleep mode is the time it takes to load pocket plus.
I also installed the utility to clean up at reboot.
I just checked ... had 44. Ran clean up, 24.
Whew! Dodged another bullet ...

The XV6700 is a lot like democracy: They're both less than perfect, but they're the best available ... as far as Verizon is concerned.
I'm not sure it's related, but I installed the reboot utility and my Verizon Sync utility stopped working (It would not download my e-mail). I unistalled it and it started workign again. Has anyone had different results?

I'm on VZW and no problems with Sync after install.
I figured out what 'ClientShell.exe' is. It's Wireless Sync. Since I moved my STARTUP application to another folder to prevent it from running, I haven't been getting those repeated notifications. However after installing ActiveSync 3.8, the little icon appeared on my screen again today. Low and behold... after a couple resets, I had several notifications again!
I think we found one of the bugs. Wireless Sync 5.5!
