I will install the new 3100 patch on my 6601 right now. I am currently running one of your older patches and I am constantly having issues with my headset and also trying to connect to other devices. A reset of the device most often fixes the issue.
Installed... So far so good. No issues with the installation. I did a hard reset prior to installation and then reinstalled each program manually. Once done I will do a backup.
This was the original files from i-mate patch 3100
I removed _acevidcap.dll, _ace_ddi.dll, _ahioem.dll (these are ATI Video drivers that won't workon CDMA phone).
I removed _Serial_BTUR.dll, _Serial_Cmd.dll, _tiacxwln.dll (these cause the CDMA radio to fail, any subset will not boot).
Everything else is left in and 95% of them are tagged as BroadComm internally.
The BTFlightMode.dll was not in the i-mate patch.
Be careful with your method of restore. There may be other files created by Bluetooth that can't be read by the newer drivers. If your up and running your probably fine.
mswlogo, thanks for all your help in this matter! I am glad we have someone paying attention to the CDMA side of things with this great pda/phones! If we didn't have persistant hacker types like you, I would still be suffering with the major issues I had with bluetooth. I know there are still more issues to resolve, but I am confident there will be more patches forthcoming!
All I have done is remove what does not work on CDMA phone. Which took about many many hours of resets, hard resets and testing bluetooth configurations.
One area of incompatibilities is how one vender may organize the registry. For example one might use Virtual BlueTooth Device 1 for DUN and Virtual Blue Tooth Device 2 for ActiveSync. Then another might reverse it. Some information about these deveices migght be stored in files or other parts of the registry.
I think we have all the pieces to run as well as a patched i-mate which by the sounds of that forum is running pretty good.
Oh one more thing. There is a registry script that is run as part of install not shown in the list above.
I'd like to test without it, but I get tired of hard resets just as much as the next guy.
I only had one issue with my Jabra 250 head set getting static after connecting with this new patch. I had to reset the phone and the headset before I could actually hear anything from the headset besides static. I am charging up both devices right now and will get back to you guys with more results.
Those of you using the Jabra, how are you pairing the device? Are you using the standard pair (just the pair\Phone button) or are you using the "advance pair" (Holding the Volume Up and Pair\phone button at the same time)
I have been doing the advanced method so I have more hands free options available.
I am running with build 3100 and everything seems to running smooth. I tested out DUN on my desktop and laptop and it works great. I think my Jabra headset works better now too. Thanks for posting the info, it was VERY helpful!!

Redialing last number
Rejecting an incoming call
Call-Waiting swapping
Putting a call on hold
Its in the booklet on pages 10-11
BTW... posting from DUN. It works great the only problem I have is with Goodlink and DUN fighting over the connection. Currently the only way I can get around this is by a soft reset and then not clicking Goodlink to start up the sesion. It works for a bit but goodlink figures out there is a connection and will boot me off and take over....... BAD GOODLINK... BAD!
Once they give the "Work Offline" feature to the PPC like the Treo this should not be an issue.
I admit I don't have a ton installed. Voice Command, Resco Explorer, AIM 2.0.
The only app I have not reinstalled is the microsoft reader. Since I was not sure I needed it.
Nope, I installed everything from scratch.
I don't know. Didn't pay too much attention to that. I had bluetooth off during all of the installs.
I have a few programs on my unit....SPB, PI, MS reader, MemMaid, MS Money, Voice Command, Verichat, Mapopolis, Pocket Bible +, GS Player, Beta Player, Adobe reader.

Yes, earlier in the list you will see that I upgraded mine. My major issue of battery drain and screen turning on was fixed. I have no other major issues.
My Verizon xv6600 is now using the 3100 stack as I stated earlier in the posts.
Just tried the 3500 build and got the notice that the License had expired for my Bluetooth and would no longer work. Was this built with a demo product with a limited lifespan?
