Yes. i have the verizon audiovox. I applied the last patch and it works well. I did have the memory error.. but followed the directions with the flight mode and it work. Thank u MSWLOGO and others for ur work on this. I use the sony erickson headsets the 660 i believe. ( the one with caller id)
Originally posted by xxplosive anyone with an HS820 + Verizon XV6600 had any success fixing the sleep issues with any of these patches?
I have the XV6600 and the Moto HS820. I was avoiding patching my phone until mswlogo was further along in his experimentation, but I purchased a Think Outside BT Stowaway that didn't work with the stock (2400) Verizon drivers.
With my fingers crossed, I simply applied the latest 3500 patch right over the top of the 2400 drivers without even a hard reset (fully prepared to have to do a hard reset as punishment for my rash behavior). After patching, the Stowaway worked like a champ. More importantly, my HS820 started working from a dead sleep. It couldn't be more simple.
I've got a 6601 and have applied the latest 3500 patch by mswlogo (thank you very much for your efforts, BTW) and have experienced spotty results with my Acura TL handsfree link and my Jabra BT200 headset.
When I receive a call, both aboved mentioned products appear to work as they should, the phone wakes up and I can answer and talk using those devices. However, when initiating a call, my results are hit and miss. The handsfree link in my car will properly dial my phone and connect to the caller, but most of the time I get no audio (although sometimes the audio does come through the phone's speaker, even though the handsfree link reports an active connection with the phone). Same with my Jabra headset, if I initiate a call, the audio simply doesn't come over the headset most times.
What sort of functionality did you have BEFORE you installed any patch?
Without any patches I could receive but not initiate any calls from my 6601 and my Prius. This was because the bluetooth was not reporting any CDMA signal so it always thinks it is out of range and cant make a call. Initiating a call from the phone itself always works fine and the Prius audio always takes it over once the call is connected.
Can anyone tell me if any of the patches would fix my problem?
I have just received my XV6600 and purchased a BlueTrek G2 BT headset. I am SO glad to have found this forum. I have read all 14 pages and have used the patches (both 3100 and 3500) with mixed results. I really want to thank everyone who has spent time trying to solve this BT problem (especially mswlogo and ehud). My latest try was with Ehud's simple instructions for loading 3500 C build, flight mode info, etc. It certainly works better than how I received the unit but I still have had a couple of problems. One problem is that on a couple of occasions, the machine has gone into sleep mode and won't wake up at all - which then requires a soft reset. I have also had the question (?) mark centered in the headset icon once. However, after doing a couple of soft resets and turning Bluetooth off/on, everything (so far) is working great. It's only been a couple of hours but thought I'd pass this along to everyone.
Again, thank you ALL for EVERYTHING you are doing.
Upon installing the 3500 build and the patch, I received messages that my bluetooth license had expired. However, after a soft reset, that probem seems to have vanished. BT now working pretty well - but haven't tried it in my Acura yet (Hands Free Link)
By the way. I learned a little about what the headset with question mark means under 3500. First everything is paired up and running no question mark. Then things go idle for while and it disconnects the headset. I'm not sure if it's the headset or PDA that initiates this. When PDA wakes up it looks at your shortcuts and checks for a handfree connection. If it sees one it automatically tries to do a fresh connection. It does this even on receiving a call. This is why after a fresh boot, if your headset is around it will connect to it. Or if you toggle bluetooth. When in this disconnected sleep state, I doubt the headset could ever wake the PDA.
On 3100 I think it kept the connection alive. But I think it may have drained the battery on some headsets keeping it active all that time.
I would first like to say, ALL YOU GUYS/GALS ABSOLUTLY ROCK!!!! I have been waiting for a phone like this for YEARS (former I-700 user) and when it finally arrives I stumble upon its greatness thanks to all of you.
Anyway, I am a Verizon VX6600 user and have applied the 3500 C patch. Am currently using the Moto 810 BT headset. About the only thing it did before the patch was pair up. I couldn't even answer a phone call. Now it appears to work flawlessly. I haven't tried to BT Sync with my Tablet yet, but that is for later tonight.
Thanks to all of you for your hard work in testing but especially to mswlogo and Ehud. Your conversations really helped me out.
Just for fun I tried the 3100 B drivers on my VX6600. (I was reading about how much "faster" it was and wanted to check it out) Using a Moto 810 headset, I found it acting much the same way it did when I was using the factory 2400 drivers. When the phone would go into standby, for a short period, the pairing would remain strong and would immediatly resync with an incoming call. If I let the unit sit for about 5 minutes and received a call, the headset would never reconnect.
To describe what I am seeing on the screen: In Bluetooth Manager, under Active Connections, the Moto 810 Headset Icon (with signal bar) continuously flashes on then off, never stablizing.
I applied 3500 patch and mini-patch and while the phone itself seemed to work perfectly, the BT didn't work well at all with the HFL in my Acura TL. However, when I go back to just the 3500 patch without the mini, everything seems to be working flawlessly. So, for what it's worth, that's my solution for now.
jk99, I'm not sure I understand. Could you tell me the exact file name of the driver you are using that works? I'm not sure what the "mini-patch" is...or if I've got it installed. The current patch I'm using is the 3500 "C", the last file listed in the first post. I've applied no other patches.
3500_C (Is 3500_B but also includes the "mini patch").
3500_B is the PDA2K_Bluetooth_Fix.cab (but modified for CDMA phones)
"mini patch" is OEM_Patche_12100401[1].sa.CAB and came from the i-mate PDA2K ROM and is for GSM phones that are not the i-mate PDA2K because they can only install PDA2K_Bluetooth_Fix.cab and they cannot install the ROM.
Folks with GSM phones should not be talking about the mini patch or PDA2K_Bluetooth_Fix.cab in this thread because you will make something that is confusing already even more confusing.
GSM phone owners should discuss success or failures with patches in the PDA2K/SX66 forum.
I recently patched in your 3500 patch (ver 122) because I was unable to connect to a Stowaway BT Keyboard with the stock XV6600 BT drivers (2400). Since updating, the Stowaway BT keyboard and mouse work flawlessly. Also, my HS820, started working better - even waking up from sleep mode.
I have a BT GPS (Leadtek) I hadn't used since updating to the 3500 (122) patch. This morning when tried to link to it I ran into an unusual problem: The BT GPS connected just fine to the XV6600, but the two programs I use to map with it (PocketStreets and Delorme 2005) were no longer able to "see" the GPS ("GPS device not found").
Just to confirm, I hard reset back to the factory settings and sure enough, my mapping software was able to "find" the GPS as before . . . but my Stowaway stopped working, natch!
So, while here at work I uploaded and installed the 3500 (124) patch from your first post to see if it makes a difference. So far the Stowaway KB and mouse work fine and my HS820 is re-paired, but I forgot to bring in the GPS from the car (long walk) so I won't be able to check it until I'm headed home after work. I'll keep you posted.
If anyone gets a 6600 after public launch, please reply back with BT observations and software versions. Very interested to see if any work has been done behind the scenes with this.

Hey everyone,
I recently (2 days ago) got my hands on my XV6600 from Verizon. I had known about the BT issues before my purchase by reading your posts here. Sadly enough Verizon hasn't yet addressed the BT problems on their later releases. I installed the latest 3500 patch... got the memory error... followed mswlogo's instructions and now I'm up and running in and out of sleep mode with a Moto HS810, and my fingers are crossed... Although everything is working,I have noticed my battery drains quite a bit faster since using BT... does anyone have any suggestions on how to get a days use out of the unite with BT active? Thanks for the effort guys it helped me.
