I searched every outlet that I could find looking for a USB sync/charge cable for my XV6600 that had the proper connector, but all the vendors seem to be selling the one with the older connector.

I couldn't bring myself to give up the convenience of using one of these when I travel. So, I took a look at my boxwave cable that arrived today and decided, what the hell, it only cost 15 bucks. I grabbed a razor knife and scored and scaped out my own notch. It wasn't difficult to do. It ain't beautiful, but I was pleasantly surprised when I was able to snap it right in without forcing it. It works well. Well enough, at least until I can find one with a proper connector on it. -Jay

This site sells the correct stuff and the prices are very good.

Well, at least you did correctly notch it.

For future reference

Polarity?

The accessories sold at Pocket Solutions do not have "the notch" either. Does anyone know for sure that the polarity is the same as the original equipment and the equipment sold in the pdaphonehome store, which is "tip positive" (RED + wire on the inside of the barrel)? I assume they wouldn't charge at all if they were wrong-- but I don't like to assume.

Well, I ordered the new car adapter from pdaphone.com. I'll let everybody know if it has the correct notch.
