Smile Thanks!

Thanks! That worked perfectly! Now my HS820 works just fine. The range is great and sound quality is great too, but then again i've only had it up and running for about an hour now.

I have been using a Garmin GPS 10 with the vx6600 for a couple of days now. Mostly it works good. For best results I need to exit the GPS software if I am going to move out of range of the GPS. When I turn it back on it reconnects perfectly. If I just walk away and then come back, sometimes everything works, sometimes I have to reset everything to get hooked up again.

Can anyone tell me if there are or have been any problems with 3900 or 3900_B on a XV6600? I have 3500 now and am considering an upgrade to see if it helps static issues with my HS820.

Thanks,

Fred

Well that didn't work out too well. Decided to give it a try and now I can't start Bluetooth at all. Give me a not enough memory error and tells me I need to soft reset but that doesn't help either.

Trying 3900_B right now.

That didn't work. Oh well. Hard reset.

Jabra 250

I tried two Jabra 250 headsets against two different 6600s and everything worked but the headsets sounded very very bad.

Is there anyone else (I remember one post but nothing after that) who has used the BlueSpoon AX and would recommend it with the XV6600 (and as a BT wireless option, period?). Thanks!

Check out the Sticky Headset Poll, 134 votes on which headsets seem to work or not. BlueSpoon AX seems to be doing well in the poll.

I think the AX performes poorly compared to my 820 to be quite honest. Lots of static and a poor tone quality. I do love it's form factor though. I am running 3500.

Tried 810, 250 and 820. i guess i will go for the plantronics 3000. according to poll, looks like it has the best track record thus far. anybody disagree please let me know before i have to return this one also.

Per the FAQ: Turn on flight mode (turn off the modem), then turn on BT, and then turn flight mode off (turn on the phone). This works for me.

Could someone give me a link to the sticky headset poll? Being somewhat wet behind the ears on this site , I'm having trouble finding the poll to see for myself how the Bluespoon measures up against the HS 820 . . .

Wow this is key but...do you have to do this everytime you soft reset? Just curious.

Did a search but found no answer. What is the difference between discoverable and connectable, as bluetooth goes?

No. I've had to do it once or twice for whatever reason but not each reset.

Discoverable: Any bt device can sense your presence. Disable this unless you're setting up a pairing.

Connectable: Other devices can connect to you.

I just downloaded the 3900_B BlueTooth stack, and now I'm able to connect to the HFL in my Acura TL for the first time--Yay! Still, not battery or signal strength indicator, but at least I can make/receive calls finally.

Thanks to everyone for sharing info on here!
