I got the Moto HS820. Linked up well, works great. Only difficulty is when phone signal goes low I loose the BT connection. The phone still operates but not the BT headset. In strong "bar" environment all is kosher.
HBH-30 is not newer. It's sort like the 30 is consumer and 300 is buisiness.
I had trouble pairing mine too. Make sure you hold both +/- in to get it in pairing mode. Try different distances and environments (away from compute for example).
Sometimes had to try several times, clicking back and next, toggle bluetooth etc. Once paired it was fine. I was suprised other folks never had problems pairing.
Thanks. Mine's working great except for the fact the earpeice doesn't fit properly in my ear, making it hard to hear the speaker; and if it doesnt have line of sight I get popcorn-style popping sounds.
Originally posted by Smoothie Has anyone tried the Moto HS-850?
Just got the HS-850 a few hours ago. Using it with an XV-6600, and all seems to work well. I have noted difficulty answering calls from a 'boom closed' position. The headset does not reconnect in a timely enough fasion consistently, and calls go to voicemail (after about 4 rings). I have gotten it to connect a few times (from off) but it usually does not. I suppose it would work better if the "No answer transfer to voicemail" was turned off, but I'm not interested in doing that.
There is no problem answering calls at the phone (green button), then opening the boom, the call transfers to the headset within a few seconds.
Aside from that it seems to work great. Pairing went without a hitch, volume could be a bit louder but is not bad, comfort is good.
Also have a Logitech Mobile Pro that works well. Volume is great, connection can be staticy.
I will be getting a Mobile Freedom this weekend. I know a guy who works for Logitech and he gives me this stuff for free!!
Got my HBH-660. With the 3500c stack it works perfectly. I can go into the next room with no static. Brilliant. Really nice headset.
Now the AX isn't doing so well. Some post good results, I just can't figure out why I'm getting so much static, with the phone right next to the earpiece, too. Also I sound small and tinny on the other end, or so I'm told. ...
Motorola HS820
Only worked a couple of times. I shouldn't have bothered based on the feedback here but it was on sale. (It is going back.)
Plantronix M3000
Worked great, of course. Great range -- I left the earpiece charging downstairs and when I used the phone upstairs, it connected to it. The earpiece was not as uncomfortable for me as other's have reported here.
Jabra 200 (a couple of years old but hardly used)
Worked fine, surprisingly, after I figured out how to pair it up. I lost the manual long ago.
**If** I keep the VX6600, I'll use the Jabra around the house (it is very comfortable) and otherwise use the Plantronix.
I haven't been able to pair up my T41 Thinkpad (built-in BT) with the phone.
My t41p with builtin blue tooth pairs up fine. Be sure to install Servive Pack 2. If you upgrade it with sp2 you may have uninstall all bluetooth drivers and let it rediscover the new sp2 bluetooth drivers.
VX6600 build3500c hard reset
Verizon Tech support 18668902357 option3 than option 2
Audiovox said 2 weeks for fix as of 2-7-05,verizon extended my return period for 15 more days.
Tried hs820,paired but static and loses pairing on sleep mode
tried hs810, better results not much static but still loses pairing on sleep mode.
Placed an order for hbh660 $94.95 couldn't find it cheaper will check back with new results.
Hey guys - I'm running 3500 C using the hard reset style of install and my hbh -300 seems to get very confused whenever the phone goes into sleep mode. If it gets woken up by an incoming call the headset will not work unless i soft reset the unit. however if i power it on using the button and watch the bluetooth (it goes from being connected to not being connected to being connected) when i repower then use the headset it seems towork. I tried extending the time it takes for my voicemail to answer in order to give the unit time to 'wake' back up but it still only works half the time on incoming calls. anyone have a solution for this? i've hard reset and installed the patch that way twice. I'm also using VC 1.5, but when i uninstalled and hardreset and tried it would still do it. Also when i go into the bluetooth setting and go into about all the version numbers are 1.0.0.3500 except for BtRez.dll which is at version 1.0.0.3000 is there a reason only that dll is not getting overwritten, or a way i can patch it manually if that is the dll that is causing all these problems?
I just received my HBH-300. It is currently charging. I completed the 3500 "C" patch without incident. I will post later with how my unit functions. This will be my last attempt at finding a compatible headset. This is the 4th headset that I have purchased.
I posted before that I tried pairing with the 2005 Range Rover and it worked. Since I've taken delivery of my vehicle I can now update what features are supported and what is not.
Supported features:
Make a Call
Receive a Call
Reject Incoming Call from display only, not steering wheel
End active call
Unsupported Features:
SMS via touchscreen
No missed call display on touchscreeen
Phone Book
Last number redial (though I found this to work, it redials whatever is on your phone if you push the send button without entering a number on the car touchscreen)
Hold/Unhold
No display of signal strength
The car and the 6600 paired fine and it works as advertised. I had one instance where the caller stopped hearing me, not sure if it was due to the Bluetooth or their phone.
With respect to my Toshiba M200 Tablet PC with the Bluetooth module, it works great. My Bluetooth drivers are from Toshiba (Apparently you can use the ones from Microsoft also). I'm able to performs wireless syncs without issue. I'm also able to use the internet on the computer via Bluetooh with WinModem and that works great.
I recieved my blue spoon AX earlier this week and I have been using it with my 6601 without any patch. I have had no issues what so ever. Had no problems with pairing and staying connected. Have had no static what so ever. The voice quality actually has been excellent! Just today I had my AX in my jacket pocket and the 6601 on the cradle.. They were quite far away from each other. The phone rang and I answered it through the AX. There were no issues of slow wake up either...Amazing!
Using the HS-801 bluetooth headset with XV6600 (Verizon), bluetooth software build 2400, stock OEM as I purchased the phone. Reception and quality both good.
Only problem was after using headset on another phone, then back to XV6600, microphone quality was very poor. Removed profile using Bluetooth manager, re-detected and quality again very good.
No need to change drivers or anything, as this works well.
The HBH-300 pairs easily and audio is acceptable (not perfect). Received the 3500 c memory error and the headset has trouble re-connection and waking up timely after the phone goes into sleep mode. Overall I am pleased with the clarity and usability.
Just installed the new ROM update from Audiovox on the XV6600. Now phone works with the Acura HFL. Receives calls, and dials out with HFL system. No signal or battery stregnth though.
Below is what I have tried. If a profile is not mentioned then I have not tried it.
Logitech Mobile Freedom Headset connects fine. Works out of sleep mode fine as well.
Dell D800 Internal Bluetooth
-File Exchange Works in both directions.
-Active Sync started from XV6600 works. Internet Passthrough also works through Active Sync.
-Dialup networking from Dell to XV6600 to 1x/EVDO Network works.
-Could not get Network Access from PDA to device to work.
Targus Bluetooth Adapter
-Dialup networking from laptop to XV6600 to 1x/EVDO network works.
-File transfers work in both directions.
