For what it's worth, my HS820 is suddenly not working at ALL...
It was working (somewhat) previously, but now it won't pair at all...
Have done everything but a HR...

I took my HS820 back to Best Buy. Didnt like it at all.

Now using a Belkin, seems to be working ok with build 3500.

Going to try resetting and check out 3100, see if it responds quicker to an incoming call.

BT Report

My Motorola 820 seems to be working ok although it's only been a few days. I'd have to give it glowing remarks compared to the #@!# Sandisk 256 wifi card though.

XV6600 w/ anycom car kit, includes HC-110 car kit w/ HS700 Head set. Problems are:
a) like most everyone else, it has a mind of its own and will loses connection, turning the BT mgr on and off sometimes fixes the problem other time it takes soft re-boot.

b) the volume in the speaker is sometimes very loud and sometimes soft, seems like voice command when enabled makes the speaker soft.

c) the person on the other end will sometimes hear themselves in echo, doesnt seem to matter the volume level (the sparce manual says thats the problem). I think it has something to do with the clever way the little head set piece magnetically attaches to the speaker body, perhaps it is an intermintant conmnection.

When its working the anycom is the BEST, but the trouble is you never know when its working. I will appreciate hearing how the rest of you keep the BT headset working,

Reiff: I dont understand you saying delete the headset from the XV6600... then install w/ BT mgr, thats the way i did it to begin with and still have all the problems.

Last message, I have build 2400 on XV6600 is there a better build/patch?

No joy with Jabra

I went to the Jabra booth at CES and mentioned that several people were having porblems finding a headset that worked well with the 6100. He checked out my phone and was confident that their "premium" one would work great. We paired it with 6100 (no problem?) but I made a couple of calls and every word was cut off.

I've posted inteh past that I've had no prblems with my Jabra 250. I have encountered the "Deep sleep" issue described by others since then. Specifically, the connection between the headset and the phone is lost when left for some period of time. If the phone subsequently rings the unit tries to establish connection with the headset but it does not happen in enough time to answer the call or it does not transfer at all. I called the Audiovox people and they didn't seem to know anything about it. I told them to look at this post, I'm still waiting othear back from them.

On a positive note I just finished installing a Bluetooth module into my Toshiba M205 Tablet PC and the as soon as I booted up the Bluetooth card, it paired with my XV6600 and I was able to do Bluetooth Activesync with the XV6600 without incident. Does anyone know what the code for the XV6600 is, the Table prompted me for it, but it obviously wasn't required because it works and is still working. Still unlike on the XV6600 , I do not show an association with the phone on the PC, only on the XV6600.

Unless you contact someone high up on the food chain, nothing will happen. I filed a complaint for my V710 at planetfeedback.com and heard from Verizon's CEO's office in two days. They are allowing me to return my 710 (despite the fact that I am past the 30 day trial period) so that I can try the 6600. They are aware of the problems with the 710 (and were before the lawsuit) but they are unaware of any problems with the 6600. I told them that there had been reports on-line of issues and that I would try it for myself and report back to them. If you have a gripe, calling customer support is not the way to go. Planetfeedback.com gets you in touch with people who can (and want to) truly help you.

The e-mail address posted for planetfeedback for Audiovox is no longer valid - I got a response from their mail server today.

Thumbs up HS820 with PPC-6601

Success with pairing and use.

Crystal clear voice quality with HS820.

No problems with dropping out, but stays on most of the day with charger.

Using standard Bluetooth Stack as shipped.

Talking vx6600 bluetooth build 3100

using a verizon VX6600; I have just applied the 3100 build patch, soft reset and everything seems to be working. results so far: hf800, hs820 and Jabra bt200 all paired and working. hitting the power button to off then on does not seem to affect the paired device. phone going into "sleep" mode does not seem to loose the device either. more long term testing needed to determine if issues really resolved relating to devices loosing there connection. here is the interesting part. after the upgrade, in bluetooth settings > about , it now says version 1.0.0 build 3000. not build 3100. not sure why it only says 3000??? if i click on advanced, "bttrayCE.exe" still shows 2400, "BtCeStack.dll", BtCeIf.dll" both show 3100, everything else shows 3000. I will post more results as find them. I was experiencing all the same issues as others, paired devices dropping connection after a while, after pressing the power button, and more so when the device would kinda go to sleep. it hasnt done that yet so not sure about those results. anyone else out there tried this patch yet? hope we find a solution soon, I switched from my i700 mainly to gain bluetooth functions,..... only to be massively frustrated!

my HBH-300 just came from expansys-usa. Can't get the damn thing to pair with my XV6600, 3500C (it sees it, but fails when entering the secret key) Looks like there is already a new model, the HBH-30, on SonyEricsson's site. Yipee

I'm not a moron when it comes to these things, really. My only fault is not reading documentation first - but the documentation with this thing is utterly useless. I just did a hard reset and will patch with 3100 and try again.

Ugh...

edit: for kicks I tried pairing after the hard reset, no patches. It actually paired. But now, after the hard reset, my signal strength is half what it was, even after a PRL update...wtf

Jeep Liberty UConnect success

Using the instructions (in advance), in this thread:
http://www.pdaphonehome.com/forums/s...0&pagenumber=1

I successfully got my SprintPCS 6601 to work 'out of the box' with my new Jeep Liberty with UConnect. (Chryler/Doge/Jeep's bluetooth implementation).

Audio may not be as loud as I'd like, but I don't know if thats jeep or phone yet.

Works though, both dial in and dial out.

To do a hard reset, thurn the device off and press and hold the power button and preset the soft-reset button using your stylist.

aarong,

HBH-30 is not newer. It's sort like the 30 is consumer and 300 is buisiness.

I had trouble pairing mine too. Make sure you hold both +/- in to get it in pairing mode. Try different distances and environments (away from compute for example).

Sometimes had to try several times, clicking back and next, toggle bluetooth etc. Once paired it was fine. I was suprised other folks never had problems pairing.

mswlogo,

I just purchased the Sprint PPC-6601. Bluetooth Version:

Software: BT-PPC/PE Version 1.0.0 Build 2300

I paired the Plantronics M2500 without a problem. However, the connection freezes and drops almost immediately, requiring me to restart Bluetooth using the manager. Also the reception and talk quality is unbearable.

I talked with a senior tech at Audiovox and they are working on a software fix. I personally would feel more comfortable with a headset that works out of the box. Is the consensus still:

Jabra BT-250?
and
Motorola HS 850?

Great job monitoring and helping others with this thread!!!
