Folks, you might find this thread on the pairing the Jabra with the H6315 useful.

http://www.pdaphonehome.com/forums/s...threadid=34059

So, now I ask, is an idle/sleep issue you guys are dealing with?

Yes, I know a few of you have complained about static, is that after coming out of sleep, perhaps?

I use the Moto HS820
Sound quality is great. microphone is easily understood by the other party.

But the problem I am having, is that the phone won't stay connected consistantly. I have missed seveal called because the headset was not communicating.

I'm not sure if this is a problem with the headset or the bluetooth capabilities of the 6601.

I wish we could find a common denominator. Any thoughts?

same issue with Logitech

I had the same issue with the Logitech Mobile Freedom Headset. The Sprint Sales Engineer told me it was a Logitech driver issue. I'm sending the Logitech back this week.

bluetooth USB adapter

I am looking at getting a USB bluetooth adapter so I can use my phone as a modem and to sync. I see the linksys adapter, the dlink adapter and some other ones, any suggestions?

Thanks,
Dan

I bought a cheap generic one, bt If I were to buy again, I would go with the linksys. Mainly because of this website:

I'm having difficulty pairing my HS820 with the XV6600. It recognizes the headset but when i try to add it it give me an error when trying to communicate with the device. I'll try charging up the HS820 more before trying again. I managed to get it working last night but when i reset the phone the headset would not repair with the phone. Arrg!

Let me start out by saying I took the big jump to a PDA Phone. Sprint is now selling the 6601.

Below is a list of hardware and software I am using with it

HS810 Bluetooth headset, tried FS-250
Fortuna Clip-on Bluetooth GPS

iNav’s iGuidance 2.0
MS Voice Command

I love the pda, however I still don’t like holding a box to my head, that’s why I got the Bluetooth headset, however I am very disappointed. The FreeSpeak 250 paired fine, but had lots of static. When it would work it worked well. However I could not use voice command, I am told this is a limitation on the softwares part (come on M$).

First on the GPS. The GPS paired and seem to work well. As well as making a phone call with a Bluetooth headset (when it worked!) at the same time.

I took back the FS-250 and got a HS810, and I am not happy with it either. Both headsets had the same problems, they are below

Once paired the units worked fine as long as you did not turn off the unit. I kept the PCD on the charger, and normally it says on. It seemed to work well. I was able to receive calls, even when the headset was off, I could turn on the headset and it would pickup.

The problems happen when you turned off your headset AND turned off or suspend the PDA. Once you did this the problems started. Most of the time I had to repair the headsets to get them to work. For example, phone is on the seat, phone rings, I put on the headset and turn it on. Notta. (This would work if the phone was always on like on the charging base) The phone kepted ringing and would go to my voice mail

Also when I did have it working, and on a call longer than 30 min I would get a screeching in my ear!. Turning off the headset did nothing, turning off the Bluetooth radio or disconnecting the headset from the Bluetooth manager would then transfer that bad sound to the phones speaker, and I had to end the call. The caller said they did not hear anything. (thank god for there sake!)

The fact that the both Bluetooth headset did the same thing, I would have to figure it’s not the headset but the phone that is the problem. I was told that Broadcom makes the Bluetooth stack sucks, but I must say is better than the M$ stack.

I am thinking on taking back the phone because I can’t seem to bring my self to hold a box to my ear, the whole reason I bought this was it had Bluetooth and I could use a wirless headset. Maybe I will jump back onboard when the fix their phone?

Anyone getting a Bluetooth headset to work with the 6601 email me!!! I would love to keep the PDA/phone but I need a headset to work 100% of the time!!!!!!!!!

The "screeching" is probably the beep of death we are all experiencing. It has NOTHING to do with your bluetooth headset, we all get it when using the phone directly...

Sounds as if you have some application that wants to dial out to the internet every so often to get some data (e-mail, today screen plugin, etc.) and the phone is trying to go to a data session (modem sound?)

It won't do both a voice call and a data call. Somehow, that's where all of these units fall a little short.

I can pair the BT200 with the Verizon VX6600 without a problem. However, it is picky when it wants to work. Eventhough the ohone says it is connected, when I press the button the the BT200 to wake it up to make a call it does not want to work - most of the time. Sometimes it does.

I also notices that many times I cannot open the BT connecttion Manager. When I click on it and nothing happens, I have to turn BT off and then re-start it.

Any ideas?

I have been trying to find a good headset for my SPCS 6601. I tried a HS-810, I loved the flip on/off mic, but seemed to some times when I turn it on just gets static, on both the person I called and in my ear. I just went out and bought a Jabra BT110, that really sucked. Did not work at all, was able to pair, but could not answer. I am trying out a Mot HS820 crossing fingers!

Just to add to the list, I just received my Akono HBH-660 from SE and so far it works awesome. Upgraded from a HBH0-65.

I have a Verizon VX6600 and cannot get the BT Headset to work. It pairs and works on initial connection, but if I tunr the 6600 off, it shws the phone is connected to the head set, but the calls do not go to the hehadset. Tried on both a Jabra BT200 and Mot 820. I would think it is a setting, but cannot figure it out.

Any ideas?

Motorola HS820 issues as well

I just got the Motorola HS820, and I got it to pair up successfully, but it does not seem to be working as it should.
For example, when I go to BT Manager > Active Connections, the 820 appears in the Outgoing Connections, but is constantly flashing.. is that normal? This is my first time using a BT headset, btw...

Also, if I click the button on the headset, I hear a beep, but nothing happens on my phone. I think I've got all the hands-free settings correct, but I'm not getting anything to work hands-free....!

I managed to get the headset to connect earlier on a test call to my wife, but since then, I've turned the 6600 off, and while it still shows the headset in the BT Manager, I am not getting it to work...

Is that BT patch recommended?

matt

I found a work a round if you really can call it that, never let the 6600 turn off.

This is obviously imppractical, but if you are in the car for a while and hook it up the a power source, it stays on. I found this to keep the connection alive.

I think it is clear that the issue is when the device turns off and turns back on. something happens there.
