Good/Great sound volume and quality. People can hear me very well in a city environment without me even raising my voice. I was in a parking garage with a cars alarm going off and the person on the other end could hear me perfect. I tested it out by speaking kinda low and they could still hear me perfectly. This was cool!
Comes with a nice carrying case for your belt. Nice and small.
If you have the phone in your bag the BT-800 will RING and VIBRATE. It also has CALLER ID which is awesome
Back-lite screen makes it easy to read
Paired and stayed Paired. Picks up the BT800 pretty quickly with no problems.
Cons:
It's a little heavy...but you get used to it quite fast. I was able to wear it for over 6 hours with little to no soreness.
It is a little slow on the answering of a call...but it takes about 1 phone ring to pick up.
Overall I am very happy with the device and would recommend it to everyone else.

I have been using Motorola HS850 with my Sprint ppc6601 (build 3500) for about a month. Here is my experience.
Pros:
(1) Light, stylish, fits comfortable in my ear.
(2) No problem in volumne, even in an extremely noisy driving condition.
(3) Pairing is very easy, and stay paired as long as it has power.
(4) Long life battery and it seems never dry out.
(5) Callers always say it is very clear, no complaint yet.
Cons:
(1) Somehow it has a few static if too close to a pc, or too far away from my pda. But it is normal, I believe.
If you feel headache about choosing bt headset, and if you are using the Sprint ppc660x, you should buy HS500 and I bet you will not regret.
i have been looking for quite a while for a way to get the sprint and audiovox PPC-6600 to bluetooth phone numbers into the 2005 lexus phone book.
i think i have figured out a way to get the numbers to transfer.
l@@k.....
the lexus will accept the transfer IF the phone number for your contact person is entered in the "radio tel:" location.
apparently the systems can communicate with each other only if certain conditions are met.
the only number that will transfer has to be entered into the "radio tel:" number for the contact, AND, the number can NOT contain any parenthesis " ( ) " or other characters except a "dash".
outlook defaults a 10 digit phone number like this: enter 123-4546-7890, and outlook returns (123) 456-7890 for itself. this will not transfer to the lexus phone book.
you can enter a 7 number phone number in "radio tel" and transfer the name and number to the lexus easily.
i have had "SOME" luck with removing the area code and country/region from outlook. this should keep the ( )'s from showing up.
do this:
highlight a contact
tools
options
clear the boxes for area code and country
the key appears to be that you have to enter a phone number into the "radio tel" location for the contact, and the number can NOT contain ( )'s.
hope this helps.
i got onto this after chatting with randy, my local dealer's diagnostic specialist. we couldnt get numbers to transfer from my PPC-6600 so i went home and hacked it out after about 2 hours.
next, we need to figure out how to make the BT show signal strength bars and accept phone book transfers more than one-at-a-time.

I would love to get this to work.
So you are saying to enter the 7 or 10 digit (I have to use 10 digits in my area) into the radio tel location without having the parenthesis on.
Then, do you tap and hold and select "send via Bluetooth" after you have enabled phonebook receive on the Lexus?
What if there are other numbers attached to the contact? (home, mobile, etc...)
And I'm assuming this works, right---dialing from the Lexus rather than the phone.
start out with a 5 digit number if possible.
try to enter the 5dig into radiotel and see if it looks like this 123-467.
if not, do the clear area code thing i mentioned and then see if the 5 digit will enter into radio tel.
if it does and looks like 123-4567, then do your tap and hold- send via blue tooth thing. but first get the lexus ready to receive it. after you start transfer and ADD, then tap your transfer via bluetooth on your phone. if you dont get the lxs bt ready first, i found that things get skrooed up and i someties loose the BT.
it should go and then you jus thit back and phone book and yippee.
i have tried it with numbers in the home mobile, etc and as long as you have a number in the radiotel, it will go just fine.
i have had luck entering 10 digs with -'s BUT i cant always duplicate how i did it. it's odd. i am trying to figure that out right now. for the time being you can use the 7 digits as long as you arent roaming - i think. i can do that here.
Nice work figuring it out. I've tried numerous things with my '05 RX330 with no luck.
I just broke down and signed up for Sprint's voice dialing at $5 month.
I just manually programmed " * " into the first one touch dialing location. I also set the voice dial system to advanced settings so you don't have to make the extra acknoweldgements when using it.
It was sort of a pain to cleanup and transfer all my contacts into Sprint's system via the web. But now that it is setup, it works pretty much like M$ voice command (which I ended up removing because of the memory problems it causes )
I had even tried to put everything a text format (both tab and comma delimited) and transfer it with no luck. Maybe if one of the headings was radio and no () were used it might work.
i think you have to select "add" and not "overwrite" you dont want to ever overwrite i dont think. you will loose all your numbers.
i am working on how to figure out how to replicate the 10 # numbers i was able to do. there seems to be no rhyme or reason.
Thanks---yeah, I figured that out. Let me know what you can find. I tried all sorts of things---like you said, the main problem is that pocket outlook converts to the (xxx) xxx-xxxx format. Tried adding an extra 1 to the end. Works for land lines, but not for cellular, apparently. Tried adding a p, commas, asterisks, pound signs, and anything else to keep the parenthesis out, but couldn't find anything to work. If I get the format to stay without parenthesis, it doesn't dial correctly.
So we either have to figure out a way to keep pocket outlook from converting to (xxx) xxx-xxxx or find a combination that will dial out.
the main problem is that pocket outlook converts to the (xxx) xxx-xxxx format.
In order to stop PPC from adding formatting to your phone numbers try the following before you go into contacts
1. Go to Start/Settings/System/Regional Settings
2. Change the location from English (United States) to Estonian
3. Now add your phone numbers to contacts with the area code. It should not format the phone number
4. Change settings back to English when you are done. As long as you dont re-edit the number it will stay unformatted.

Awesome! That should work--try it tomorrow.
I had tried to change the countries in Pocket Outlook, but hadn't tried the system settings. Good ol' Estonia!
I have been using Logitech Mobile Freedom with BT 1.2 for a while. It works great with my ppc 6600! I found its sound is loud and clear, better than my previous hs820 (which was lost).

thats the $50 one right? with windstop technology? well mines in the mail and should be here any day now....i have yet to here any bad thing about it yet.
ok so is the motorola hs850 the headset to get? does it have zero bluetooth issues and no noise and good range? I have given up on the jabra 250 and bt800 they suck quality and range wise. Is there any headset apart from the Logitech Mobile headset which is fugly, that has excellent range and reception? is the hs850 a good bet?
Originally posted by Kalugz FINALLY!! After 4 BT headsets I found one that actually works. I had a Scala 500, Moto HS820, Belkin, and a BlueTrek.
They either had too much static, back ground hiss, low volume (what did you say?!!?) or didn't fit very well.
I orderd the new Logitech from Techdepot for about $54 US after taxes and shipping and I could not be happier. It pairs very quickly, sounds great (no hiss and very little static, if any at all) and has range like none of the others. I have gone further that 30' line of sight and been through not only walls but levels of a 2-story appt.
Hope that helps
All, I have the HS820. People always complain that they can't here me very well. Either I sound tinny or they hear static or they hear an echo!
Question #1: Is this Logitech for real?
Question #2: What is BT3900?
The Moto 850 is the best one that I have found SO FAR but it isn't perfect, the only problem with it is it is just a little to quiet and tinny sounding.
I've used my wife's HS850 for a couple times. I found it seems to have some problem with my ppc6600. Every time when I make a call, in the subsequent call I only see the phone is connected, but no voice in the HS850 headset. I must do a soft reset to solve the problem. I don't know if it is my pda specific problem, or headset specific problem. My wife's phone is not a pda.
I found Logitech mobile freedom works quite well with ppc6600 (with build 3500). It does not have the problem I had with HS850. Also, its sound is singificantly louder than HS850. HS850 sound tends to be quiet and tiny.
