Yea I originaly got the Jabra 250 and I loved the fit and looks but the static was just horrible! So I returned it and got the Motorola HS820, it has absolutely no static, is light, pairs and fits very well. The only problem is the sound level is a litle quiet.
Bluetooth Question...
I don't get great cell phone service in my house and would like to setup my XV-6600 to use bluetooth to connect to the internet. I have found some stuff on the web, but it looks different to the options I have on my XV-6600. Is this possible? Do I need to install a different bluetooth stack?
I used the Jabra 250 for a couple of days and it was horrible. Just picked up the Moto 810 and love it. Was making calls with the phone in my pocket and in my center console and it was very clear.
mikemrossi: I have the same issues with my 6600. BTM won't wake up, and my Jabra 250 pairs slowly especially after its been in the charger. I leave the 250 on all the time. Maybe there's a power saver mode somewhere on the 6600 that we're missing.

Same question except I want the connection to go the other way pairing my Bluetooth enabled Dell laptop and my 6600. The 6600 has BT v 1.0 with the updated firmware and the laptop has 2.0. I wonder if they are backward compatible?
I have read all that I could find but did anyone get the Jabra 200 to work with out static or for it not to go to sleep? Or does any one know what BT patch works best with it?
doh....tried to order from that site and they currently on back order and wont be recieving anything for about a week or two.....any other sites where i can order that headset from?.....and do you know if they available in of the sprint stores?.....thx
I finally found a headset (DFI HBT101) $50 that pairs well and stays paired. I even have a hard time unpairing it at times, but my hearing was ruined working around airplanes for 13 years and hard to hear unless in totally quiet environment. The only headset I have had that I can hear with so far is the Jabra 250 (earbuds stick inside ear) which sucks too much unbearable static. Anyone using a good, static free, w/protruding ear buds headset? Please Advise

I had a Jabbra 250 as well (lots of static), I picked up the Moto 820 and it is GREAT, a little low on volume, but excellent in the car or moving around. I also ordered the HBH-660 and will see how it works as well.
I have a xv6600 phone & a Motorola HS 850. phone & headset works great. My head set last 10 hrs plus! I just bought Voice command 1.5 but can not voice dial thru the head set? Does any one else have this problem or know of a fix???
I discovered the ultimate incoming Sound quality Solution. I found an item tht lets you use the stereo earphones ofyour choice with your cell phone. It has a microphone attached in the cord with a button for answer/hangup.
So. I used my Phillips Noise Canceling headphones with it. Amazingly clear sound at least on incoming. I like having sound in both ears.
Perhaps better yet is this, from BLue Ant, though you have to use their earphones. But this is stereo bluetooth! No wires! Haven't tested this yet. Has anyone out there tried these?
Message edited out; Additional info was placed in the above post. So, given your additional info, I ordered the Seidio 2 in 1 retractible adapter. Now for the Philips Noise Canceling headphones... Thanks.
I have the sprint version of 660ppc with the original build {3500} Recently got HBH-660 and while I got them to pair up and the ppc shows they are paired up, all calls are heard from the mic of the ppc, and not the headphones. At first, I thought maybe I didn't have the sound turned up high enough on the headphones, but then realized if that was the case, I wouldn't be hearing anything at all through the mic of the ppc {duh!}The ppc screen shows a solid green line for the connectivity. Any suggestions as to what I may be doing wrong?

I got the Philips headphones at Best Buy. About $62. THey sound great for voice. Another brand is Maxell (yes, the media people - tapes, etc.). About $50. These are both knockoffs of the Bose noise-canceling phones that cost $300. THeir sound is not as good as the Bose (honkier midrange and less deep bass. Also the Bose have two frequency bands of NR vs only one for most other NR phones) but the noise reduction on these cheapies is decent and so is the sound. For voice comm either one is great.
I have been also using a pair of Sony MDR-88 (I think that's the number -- an old set of great-counding open-air phones) with my Seidio adapter, in the car. Probably illegal to have stereo phones on in the car, but I can hear outside sounds fine, since I"m just listening to a voice call, not Metallica. I'd say the intelligibility of the incoming voice is double what I have been getting with single ear setup, even with funky phones my friends are talking to me on.
Again, I am quite interested to know if anyone has tried the Blue Ant stereo phones with mic and internal 128M for playing MP3 files. Seems like a cool gadget for sure.
Went to Tech Depot last night and bought the new Logitech Mobile Freedom with BT 1.2. HOpe it's as good as everyone says. I looked that older Logitech with the boom mic and large pod-style case/charger apparatus. I sort of liked that it was sturdy looking, but it was too large for easily pocketing. Ideally I wanted the Plantronic style (looks more like a hearing aid than a cyborg over-the-ear arrangement). I mean the Plantronics style disappears a bit more so when people are talking to you in person they don't feel like you only have one ear avilable for them. But the Plantronics 2500 was way too noisy around WiFi. Maybe the 3000 is better?
Anyway, the Logitech was only $40 plus tax and shipping. About $52 total.
