Samsung officially announced the SGH-i780 this week at a launch event at the British Museum in London. There were rumors that this would be the Blackjack II, but it turns out that this will be a
Windows Mobile 6 Professional device (PocketPC). It comes in a compact Q-like form factor with a full QWERTY keyboard and compact 2.55 inch display for easy one handed operation. Resolution of the display is bumped up to 320x320. It will have a built-in A-GPS, WiFi, and a 2 megapixel camera. The i780 is a GSM/EDGE/3G device, so should work with most carriers globally, but not Sprint in Verizon in the US.
Also announced were these new devices:
i550 -
Symbian based
PDAPhone with built in GPS
i560 - What they call the "fasionable"
PDAPhone
You can see from this larger image that the device is quite thin... along the lines of the Blackjack and Motorola Q.
