Maybe it's because I use TMo's GPRS rather than Sprint's faster 1xRTT, but I gave up Thunderhawk and went back to IE (and NetFront, which is much better IMO). Over time, the lag in scrolling was unacceptable. Also, it has to refresh the page every time you click on a check box. For example, if you use THawk to go to Hotmail, if you want to select 10 messages to delete, the page has to refresh after *each* message you mark the check box for. UGH.
