There has been an unofficial fix to the Pocket PC Phone Edition SMS problem floating around the internet for over a month. Paragon Software has now officially released the freeware program. There is no download page for the official program, but you can have it emailed to you by entering your email address at Paragon Software's site.

Without this fix, an SMS message shows up only be telephone number in the Phone Edition. Incoming telephone calls, however, pull the name from contacts when displaying.
