Well I downloaded the demo based on this recommendation and others I saw over at PPCPassion. It's a super cool app. The only issue I have is speed. After pressing the hard button to launch it, it takes a few seconds to open up and prompt me for the voice input. I installed it on my memory card, maybe that's why. That said, it works surprisingly well, making me miss the keyboard on my Treo that much less (getting to a phone book listing to find and dial a number on the treo via the keyboard is faster and easier than on the PPCPE.)

Anyone know the difference between the demo and full, paid version?

I too have downloaded it and my opinion it's that it is a great product. I installed first to the main memory, then uninstalled and reinstalled to storage card and the speed deifference isn't much. I think it loads slowly because it is loading the names from contacts. I haven't been able to get nicknames to work right but that's ok for me. Not bad for $20, but HTC (or the carriers) should have put voice dialing into it in the first place.

I'm trying it ....

I'm also trying this... running it on a memory card as well. I didn't notice the long load time. It loaded the contacts the first time through and that took a while. Hasn't done that again. Its too early for me to reach a conclusion.

It seems to do perfectly on many names, but then sometimes pull up one that is completely wrong. I think that happens if I ask for a name that isn't in the system. Instead of saying there isn't a name, it does the closest one or something. I haven't figured out how to get it to properly handle acronyms like IBM and company names like amazon.com. There is a way to record a word for them that I haven't checked out yet.

I have tried it with the headset, holding it, and in the car while driving. It works in all cases, but prefers the quieter environment. I had to slow down the default timings because it was not letting me get "home", "mobile", etc. in there before guessing what I said. Agree that it's pretty good.
