You have several options for using AOL with the Phone Edition.

AIM via SMS option - see FAQ How do I send AIM messages using SMS?

AOL via browser - you could use Pocket Internet Explorer, or one of the other available browsers to access AOL or AIM through the internet. Their normal site,
http://www.aol.com doesn't work correctly with a Pocket PC, but the Australian site at
http://au.aol.com/site/website/aolpr...mail/index.php should work.
UPDATE: We just learned the AOL has a PDA portal for accessing your mail... maybe in beta. Check it out at http://dmail.aol.com .

AOL Client for Pocket PC - Version 1 - Version 1 is not supported on Pocket PC 2002, so it technically shouldn't work on the Phone Edition.
This Link is a free download for an older version of the AOL Client (there are mixed reports as to whether this will work with the Phone Edition or not... some saying it worked for them, others saying it required a hard reset and corrupted ActiveSync... so, use at your own risk!!!!).

AIM Client for PocketPC - AOL also offers an AIM client for the PocketPC that allows you to send & receive IMs, access the same Buddy List® feature you use on your PC , access your AOL address book from your handheld, and chat with up to 7 screennames. Version 2 of the AIM Client is out now and available at
Handango.
