which of these phones would you get if you had too
iam new to the forums, and i just bought the i700 samsung, and would like to try the vox 6600, could you tell me why you picked what you picked??? thanks
The 6600 has a keyboard. More memory, WM2003SE and EVDO. You shouldn't consider buying a i700 these days. Buying an i700 now is like buying a Audiovox Thera/2032... The i700's not much better than that.

I take it you are looking for a bargain off eBay for VzW based pdaphone. I've had both (currently have a i730). Definitely go with the XV6600. It's updated verses the i700, is more modifiable, and overall a better device. It has WME2003SE vs. 2003, which gives you landscape views.
I have the i730 and though I think its a great product, the radio is definitely weak.
Currently trialing the 6700, it is awesome. Radio is strong, pda is good. Surprising though, no voice command (or signal), and although the slide-out keyboard has a backlight, the numbers on the keyboard do not light. ??
I used to have the PPC-6600 and thought it was great, just had a look at the i700 & i730, and would still say that I would have gone for the PPC-6600, I have now sold the 6600 to my father and have bought the PPC-6700, great phone.
In New Zealand we don't have alot of PDA/ phones to chose from, we only have one CDMA provider (Telecom NZ) and the GPRS/ GSM network through Vodaphone.
The cost of the PPC-6600 or Harrier as it is called by Telecom was NZ$999.00 (aprrox USD$639.196) and the PAD2K through Vodafone is $1799.00 (approx USD$1,151.19) the other PDA phone is HP's 6315 connected through Vodafone.
You guys in the States and Europe have a hell of a lot more choice than we do. hope my spelling is ok. So I would still say the 6600 is a great PDA/Phone but the 6700 is a great Phone/ PDA.
