Right now, looks like about 2/3 of us have had a DSOD. I've only had one so far, but that was enough for me to vote yes.

dsod
more info:
I've never put in an SD card
I get them all the time.... something like every hour or two.
I have no programs installed, I just did a hard reset, haven't installed any more programs, and I'm still getting them regularly.
I have a theroy: I think it has to do with the device going to sleep to save power, and just not being able to wake up afterwards.
Every time it happens, the LEDs are still blinking, so I know it's not totally unresponsive.
Also - It's never happened when I've had it hooked up to the power, as I have it set not to turn off when it's on power.

Oh, another thought... I've seen mine just decide to reset the brightness level by itself a few times, and it doesn't appear to be connected to the DSOD, as I can navigate and fix the brightness. I think this is an issue, but one that's seperate from the DSOD.

This is probably due to the "unresponsiveness" of the power button, and how when the O/S hangs for a sec occasionally when you turn it on and off it sometimes registers a simple push of the power button as it being held instead. I've had this happen once or twice with mine.

Well, just had 2 more this weekend now, one of which was this morning after I unplugged the phone and sent my girl a text, went in the shower, came out 15 minutes later and it was locked up. Taking out the miniSD wakes the phone up, but I cannot enter my password to unlock the phone, and the keyboard is unresponsive. Only a soft reset brings it back. Starting to get REAL annoying, as I'm missing texts now.

I have a 512 MB card, but that is not an option on the poll. Does the size of the card matter?

No, for purposes of the poll; treat all memory cards as the same size.

I haven't installed any software and don't have a miniSD card, but I've had 2 DSODs. And I'm not the only one.
