definately a big wow factor..... I showed a collegue of mine a movie clip on my phone.... he couldn't believe it...

I was very close to buying to 6035..... but having color is such a plus..... I300 is alot smaller also...

what advantages does the 6035 have?

30 voice dial slots, physical dialpad which also covers some of the screen... one guy who also has the '35 crakced his screen but could stil dial out theu the phone..

skeakerphone has "smartsound" which definately makes the speakerphone louder.

when the first 6035's came out, they had very little trouble we are having with the i300 in its inception.. i know the bugs will be fixed, so no worry but i thnk the platform on the 6035 is a little more stable when it first came out...

has not been confirmed but the 6035 DOES have flash memory.. i believe the i300 does also, but have heard conflicting reports

i love my i300..dont get me wrong... but since i have had the 6035 for a while, i do see these little differences..

cant wait to get to know the i300 better...

You've gone over to the other side?

Does Sprint allow you to register two phone or are you carrying two phone accounts now? How's that work? Contracts?
I'm on Verizon so I got a year ahead of me.

I must admit that color is tempting?

How's the backlighting in low light. I can't stand the 6035 there.

sup kev..

i can have 6 phones on my acocunt, but i only have one up at the moment.. the 6035 is still online, buit i think im about to activate my samsung and retire the 6035... i have had this phone for over a week and have not had the time to activate it.. but ive been playing with it though...

it has a cool "screensaver" thingy when the phone is off.. syats on for a minute while in the cradle.. pretty slick..

the backlight is great on the i300. the stock kyo backlight sux but the greenlight hack cleared that up...

man you should get this phone.. come on over to sprint.. i wont tell anybody...

Like I said the color is tempting but the one year anchor contract with the V is might costly to break at this point.

And for 2 cents Green light hack only improves backlighting about 10 -15% in low light. It's fine in the daark but these old eyes can't handle low light.

Anything major you hate yet?

the I300 is great in low light.... very bright..... no comparison to my Palm VII, which kind of went inverse when the backlight was on.... very difficult to read...

BUT, the Palm VII was very easy to read in sunlight..... is the 6035 the same way?

the I300 can be difficult to read in sunlight...

I've had no problems in sunlight but when I'm inside without light doirectly on the screen it's hard for me to read.

I generally have to have a light right on it or be in direct sunlight.

Could be i'm old too and been looking at computer screens way to long.

yeah the 6035 is great in direct sunlight, but its when you are at "dusk" or have low ambient light that the light on the 6035 begins to suck... the greenlight hack does help as it inverses the screen , but the i300 wins hands down in low lilght but does get wahsed out in direct light (the colors do anyway)...

Here are my thoughts after a weeks with the I300:

Display: Almost unreadable in bright sunlight if you don't shade it; very bright in a bright room indoors; use it as a flashlight in a dark room.

Screen Adjustments: Brightness not adjustable, although you can adjust contrast.

Screen Color: Very unsaturated. Blue is more intense, but reds and yellows are very washed out.

Size: Thicker than my Palm V, but also narrower. Feels about right in the hand. I wouldn't want it too much smaller as a phone.
As a cell phone: About as good or bad as my older Sprint phone unit. (I removed the antenna of the I300 so that it does not snag in my pocket. The antenna adds nothing to reception that I can detect.)

Ringer: Not very loud. I have it set at the loudest setting so that I can hear the unit when it is my pocket. If it hangs on a belt, then perhaps a lower setting will do.

Screen size. Narrower than the Palm V, but also longer, due to the virtual Graffiti area.

Problems: A few areas near the screen edge are numb. Also, when I enable Jot, the bottom area of the screen, including the zero on the dial pad, is numb. Thus, I can't dial an 800 number with Jot enabled.

Dialer: No problem hitting the on-screen virtual buttons with my fingertips. Gives aural confirmation.

Has: Speakerphone, voice dialing, side scroll buttons, top screen, easy on-off side buttons.

Flashable: ?

Battery Life: If it sits on the synchronizer/charger most of the day, if should never run down. Overnight off the charger, I did not notice that the unit's battery-charge indicator had moved from its full-charge indication. An extra battery comes with the unit.

Synchronizaton: Synchronized on the first attempt.

Subjective Comments: Way cool. My life is so much improved now that I don't have to carry both my cell phone and my Palm. I now can carry color photos of my wife and kids on my handheld. This I300 is a keeper, unless I trade for another I300 that doesn't have the screen numbness problem.

Why: Why don't they put the stylus on the right side, where it belongs? Why do they still use a serial connection on the sync cradle instead of USB?

How: How do they get so much juice into that teenie battery?

Thumbs up This phone rocks!!

I've had my phone for about 3 weeks now. I've installed every Palm app worth having on it and now I have a stunning looking and extremely powerful peiece of hardware. Yesterday I installed an application that let me totally control a PC from my palm pilot using the TCP/IP (can you believe that?!?). I really do believe I hold the future in the palm of my hands.

its called VNC (virtual network computing). its very snazzy, but cumbersome... not really worth it unless you need to DL some stuff off of your home pc a lot... i used to know the link to it but forgot.. i tried it on the 6035 once... it was aiight...

The demo i used was called Win-Hand found at:

http://www.win-hand.com/

This is just the demo version... the real version comes out in December. The client executable is just as large as the .prc file. Check it out... it's cool to see the app working even though practically it may be a little encumbering.
