Thanks for the tip on Xiino! We'll definitly check it out.... I rarely browse the web on my phone (I usually leave that up to my husband and his 6035)...

We'll be logging about 1700 miles on the way to our destination, and of course another 1700 on the way back! We're in the midwest and are driving to Boston.... going to be spending about 7 days in the Boston area, and 4 days driving to and from

It's about a 28 hour drive that we are going to split into 2 days... if it weren't for the 6035, laptop, and mobile video system... I think we'd go nuts (considering there will be 2 toddlers with us also).

Wow, you've got our trip beat... 56 hours vs. 36, and 2 toddlers vs. 1 5 lb. pom puppy! Good luck! And try to check in from the road if you can

I too find that my laptop with DVD drive is a lifesaver for road trips with my two toddlers. Thank God for technology!

I'm even bringing a portable DVD player for our family's trip to Italy. I think the plane rides over and back (for the kids) would be insane without it. :eeek:

Make sure you have a spare laptop battery with you. Planes are beginning to become equipped with plugs in the armrests such that you can tap into the plane's electricity to power your laptop, but I haven't been fortunate enough to have flown on one of those planes yet.
