Dude,
Good to hear from you. You crack me up. I was gone for 4 days "Up North" without a computer until last night, so that would explain why the board was slow!

Boy, I go away for a few days and things get rather heated around here to say the least. :eeek:

You are a lucky man. If I surffed on my 6035 as much as you while my wife was with me (or while visiting her family), I think I'd be faced with some lawyers and papers.

Have fun and tell your arteries to enjoy those big daily heapin's of bacon, eggs & butt steaks!

I was wondering where you'd been Markito! There are a handfull of people here who, if they aren't around, you can tell something is different on the boards (and usually not in a good way). And you had to pick the time when I was stuck on the road for 20+ hours to go away? We're going to have to start coordinating these things better

Yeah, my girlfriend is being pretty cool about it. But it's not like I'm excluding myself from any real "family activities" when I jump on here (usually everyone is asleep, or just waking up). It was nice though when it was my turn to ride shotgun on the way here to be able to read and reply to posts... I think I added a few wpm to my graffiti speed on the way here!

Ok, I think breakfast is almost ready! (yeah, it's a bit on the unhealthy side... but we never get to eat like this when we're back in our own place, so I'll take whatever we can get this week! P)

Keep the posts coming today guys.... I'm going to be stuck in a minivan for over 5 hours today, all told (with just me, Dena, and her mom... so I'll have a little time to hang out )

[quote:65d6413c4e="Robert K."]After several hours of heavy usage from the road I am now sold on Xiino. Between Xiino and WordComplete I was able to post to the board pretty quickly, and Xiino is great for reading the boards. I'm going to register it when the trial period is over. [/quote:65d6413c4e]

R.K.,
I am going to have to finally give Xiino a try, though I'll have to throw some stuff overboard to make room for a new app. I think I'll toss Blazer (like you did, I think). Hope I have a backup copy of it, since I actually paid for it about a year ago. I am just sick of the poor layout of this board on EudoraWeb.

I too love WordComplete.

Thanks,
~Markito

Yep, I made Blazer walk the plank (I got it free from Sprint PCS and still have the backup). WordComplete is sweet... and the "reply" message body for these boards is compatible with WordComplete, (unlike something like Eudora Mail). :

I have also put Xiino through the paces with ESPN's "lite" site, and the Washington Post (lots of frames in both) and it does a nice job of juggling everything around. Another nice thing is that it (appears) to load all text before downloading images.

It also has some webpage "syncing" features that look nice, but that I have not played with much yet.... let me know if you get into that before I do.

I think the countdown to my final computer-based posting is getting close to the end..... breakfast was awesome ("cheesy eggs", bacon, and biscuits with homemade peach jam, and iced tea..... yummy! :). But my presence will be felt from the road.... you can count on that!

hehe. I'm chuckling as I eat my fat-free cottage cheese mixed with strawberry yogurt. Yum!

I'm not just a gadget geek, I'm a health geek too! Body-For-Life & all that. Marctronixx knows.

Man, that used to be me.... things have kinda been in disarray since Dena moved to MD from AR last October. I was locked into a routine and just as obsessed with fitness as I am with the 7135 (kept my bf% at/under 10% for a couple years meticulously planning meals and working out, and ran in 15k's and stuff). Dena and I both aren't happy with the shape we're in and both want to get back to eating good and going to our gym when we get back. I'll have to PM you later to talk with you more about that kinda stuff.

I'm all ready to go here, but suddenly Dena & her mom got on this cleaning/vacuuming/furniture moving kick (not shockingly) . I guess that gives me more time here before we leave, but we're supposed to hit Blockbuster to pick up LOTR and stop by Office Depot on the way to lunch/dinner. Her mom wants to get, or at least look at, Palm-based devices... I'd probably steer her towards a Clie T615 for the kind of stuff she needs it for, but she may not want to spend even that much ($299). Office Depot won't be the biggest thrill of the week... but it beats Walmart Supercenter. :

Nice posts robert, gotta say I've done a lot of road trips, but never had a device such as the Sphi300 that I have now, would have been entertaining for say my NY to Houston, TX road trip a few yrs ago. By the way what exactly is word complete, I imagine it's something like T9 text on phones, and where can I get it.

Good luck on the road.
