newbee looking for specific feature

I am a Verizon subscriber and I currently have a Treo 700W. My contract expired several months ago and I have not renewed my contract or upgraded my phone because I have NOT found anything that performs the specific function I am looking for. Most PDA's can search by "Name" or "Company" but I need to search other fields ....specifically the "Address Field". I should also mention that I sync my phone with Outlook and I have over 1,000 contacts with detailed information in the notes for each contact. It is very important these Contact Notes sync to my phone as well. I did some research and discovered TAKEphONE so I purchased a Palm Centro and tried it out. TAKEphONE worked beautifully (very fast too) but it only works with Palm, which I did not like. I am desperately looking for advice and suggestions for another phone or 3rd party software that offers the features I need. I dont care about email or internet capabilities. I prefer a Windows Mobile operating system but I will consider all options. PLEASE HELP.

Well, as a user of both platforms, Palm and Pocket PC, each have their own definite advantages and disadvantages. Palm has the upper hand in reliability, simplicity, and ESPECIALLY syncronization. Pocket PC wins at interface, speed, multitasking ability, media abilities, and just how flexible it is (I was able to install macromedia flash player). With a Pocket PC however, it fills up REALLY quick. If syncronizing contacts is your need, get a Pocket PC version of your Treo, and when you install active sync, set it up with outlook instead.

I hope I helped you out!

My Treo 700W is Windows based (not Palm) but it still does not perform the function I am looking for ...which is to "Search by Address".
