XV6800 vs SCH-i760?

I'm looking to upgrade from an SCH-i730 and considering both of these phones. What are the advantages of one over the other? (Looks aside)

Looks aside, I'd say they are pretty even - short of:

XV6800 more expensive
a little more memory
slightly higher camera 2.0
NO GPS

SCH-i760 little less expensive
1.3 meg camera
NO GPS
Current Upgrade to WM6.1

Choice is truly yours, but both are good PDA. Possible battery life differences:

Oooh WM6.1? What does that give? And I'm guessing you mean that it is NOT coming to XV6800?

[Edit]: Found Windows Mobile 6.1 | Update your Smartphone from Windows Mobile 6

Oooooh. So yeah, this is NOT coming to XV6800?

-----

Are there any speed differences between the two (in terms of Processor speed etc)? (No Processor speed for XV6800 above?)

I had the i760 for 7 months with Verizon before switching to Sprint and the Mogul. I was in love with the i760 but it was not perfect. The "Talk" and "Hang up" buttons are on the side so when you press the "Talk" button to make a call the keyboard slides open. Many people have complained about it in this forum. Also the buttons are positioned so that when you are talking your finger grip is such that you can accidentally hang up on some one very easily. I did it many times. The camera is pretty poor at 1.3 compared to the 2.0 mega pixels of the Mogul. Many people did not like the squishy screen but I loved it as many others did. I guess it's a matter of what you personally like. There was an issue where the i760 would not recognize more than 2gb micro sd card without installing a HACK but I hear that was fixed with windows 6.1 which is now avaliable for the phone. Personally I found that the i760 is faster than the Mogul. I'm not sure if it's the Processor speed or the program memory handicap of the Mogul. Before installing anything you are left with only about 21 mb of program memory which leaks and eventually causes lockups. I didn't have the problem as bad with the i760. I had over 30mb of program memory free. Yet the Mogul has more storage ram. One of the best features of the i760 for me was the number pad on the front of the phone. They were handy when responding to automated prompts. Much easier than using the software numbers which somtimes dissapear depending on the light settings of the phone. Also the i760 came with Voice Command witch I liked much better that Voice speed dial which comes with the Mogul. You have to teach each contact individually with the Mogul. You don't have to teach Voice command and it was still 90% acurrate. Bottom line for me is I went to Sprint and the Mogul due to price of service(i.e internet, texting). With all it's faults I would perfer to have the i760.

I have both on Verizon and prefer the 6800.
i760 comes with 2 batteries. Thats about my only positive. Well and I guess the 6.1 upgrade is official.
But I've been running 6.1 on my 6800 long before it was released for the i760.
And GPS does function if you upgrade the ROM on the 6800. It will never work on the i760.
And its already been said, but squishy screen and "call" and "end" button locations drive me up the wall on the i760. Some people seem to also prefer the i760 because they say its more solidly built. Well it certainly feels heavier in the hand, but I hardly feel the 6800 is gonna break on me.
If I could only have one it would be the 6800.

Ah... Good info. Those points I wasn't aware of!

Did you have to hack it to get 6.1? How'd you do it?

And how does the GPS function compare to buying a separate device and pairing it via Bluetooth? (Speed, available software, features, etc)

Also, a separate issue, I use my phone at the gym exclusively for listening to music etc. Is it true that the 6800 doesn't have a headphone jack??

the 6800 doesn't have a jack...but the bluetooth stereo headset option will give you the capability to listen to your music. AND NO WIRES!

HUGE drain on battery though?

I watch around 20-30 minutes of tv shows on my i730 at the gym while doing cardio, and then listen to music while working out with weights for another 45-60 minutes. And that's *after* a full day of using my phone normally. My phone is about 10-20% at the end of every single day, with the little power warning popping up every time. I would *love* to use a Bluetooth headset for my workouts, but I doubt it could last long enough on top of my normal daily usage.

It comes with an adapter so you can use a wired headset. The 6800 also has many more customizable buttons on the device. The only advantage I see to the 760 is the number pad built in. Nice for a quick text. However the slide out keyboard on the 6800 is nicer. Personally, I have the 6800 and wouln't trade it for any available Verizon PDA out there, including the 760 and the Touch.
