1. I have the
Treo 650
2. I'm with ATT/Cingular, I guess to stay
3. I travel around the country, don't use the cell phone outside of the US
4. Don't have a preference for treo vs blackberry vs samsung, as long as it meets everything else.
5. I'm pretty clueless when it comes to adding new features, but I do use medical software that is
Palm based now. I 'm scared to move away from
Palm based because I don't want to purchase/track down these programs again. I'm also trying to understand what programs can be crossed over or have versions that could be used on pc vs
Palm. The examples are "A-Z drugs" and "5 minute clinical consult".
But the most important thing is a phone that is easy to use, understanding that "easy" is relative. I have a hard time with the
Palm Treo's Hot-sync, could not get programs to go where I wanted on the device, or even get them on. also the
Treo 650 had a lot of quirks, I had to send it back 3 times for a replacement.
6. I have not purchased a data plan in the 3 years that I've had this phone, but it might be fun. If I had it, it would be to look up phone numbers and addresses on the web
7. Don't think I will need microsoft.
8. Email would be hotmail off the internet
9. I do message a lot
10. GPS is more helpful than internet, I'm always lost
11. function over size, the
Treo 650 is heavy, the centro fits better in my hand, the blackjack felt a little wide.
12. clipped to my belt or in the back pocket
13. Don't prefer a particular form factor, quickly accesible, but my treo does unlock easily and calls random people.
14. prefer the QWERTY, the touch screen is not necessary but nice
15. if it can do games, great
16. ummm, music, so far I have hot-synced songs from the real player on my computer, but any other format I would just learn.
17. camera not necessary
18. Have not had good luck with the bluetooth headsets, have to speak too loud to be heard. Currently use a plug in over-the-head headset. car charger.
19. Need a good battery life, I forget to charge it, nice not to think about it on a 2 day trip. Spend about 1-3 hours a day on the phone/texting.
20. about $100-$150, especially if I have to buy new car charger and listening device.
Thank you very much for this help, I'm trying to get work and play to flow easier. Let me know if there is more information that I can add.
