Its the holiday season so we thought it was a great time for some gift giving. All day tomorrow, Tuesday, December 11, 2007, we are giving away Agendus for Windows Mobile Standard in the PDAPhoneHome Store. You can receive the version for Windows Mobile Professional ( Pocket PC), or Windows Mobile Standard (Smartphone OS). Cool. I wouldn't have bought this or any other program if it wasn't free.

I don't want to complain about a free offer, but both links are going to the smartphone version. When I find the professional version and apply the code, it does not apply the discount.
(or does the standard edition work on WM6 Pro?)

Alan, check the product names again. I think you are getting thrown off by the Agendus product names. They sell two version of the product, independent of platform. They have a Standard Edition and a Professional Edition... each available on WM Standard, WM Professional, Palm, etc. This promotion is for the Agendus Standard Edition for WM Standard or WM Professional. I just double checked the links and they go to the right places. One of them even has Pocket PC in the name of the product... that would be the WM Professional version. Specifically, its called Agendus for Windows Mobile Pocket PC Standard Edition v1.1

Downloaded and installed. I too did not read and had the wrong version as well I have been through all options and the "help" at iambic. How do I get agendus to be the default program for appointments and such?

The 6700's aren't listed in the dropdown and I can't even figure out how to download! When I hit the download link I just get sent to another page with lots of pricey Palm software on it. I think all I got out of this was a lot of spam in my inbox. - sheureka

Well, I guess you get what you pay for.
After trying this application on my Mogul for 15 mins, I decided it's Sloooow. (no wonder it's free) It takes 15-30 seconds just to load my calendar. Waaaaay to long. And that's on top of the 8 seconds just to start the App.
I guess they expect you to minimize it, and let it suck up memory in the background all day?
Sorry, but I did not find this Application useful....

houdini7 - I have used Agendus and it works fine. You probably had a lack of RAM with the Mogul, as I had problems with lots of apps on the Mogul if I didn't keep everything closed except what I was running. If you don't like it, then thats fine. Agendus has a support forum that is manned by their support staff if you have any particular questions about getting it to work.
sheureka, I am not sure what you did, but you don't need to select a device. Just use the link I gave you and it should let you purchase it with the promotion code and download it directly. We have had hundreds of people already take advantage of this, so I'm pretty sure its working. I'd go back into the store and unselect your device. Perhaps there is a problem with it not being specifically selected for that device, but regardless it should work.

robrecht, Its way too much to list here... check out their comparison a their site.. Agendus for Palm OS Professional Edition - The ultimate personal information manager for Palm, links and enhances Meetings, Tasks, Memos, Contacts, Email, and powerful wireless services . It compares Pocket Outlook to Agendus Standard (and also Agendus Pro and Agendus Premiere). I used this all the way back before they called it Agendus on the Palm platform years ago... it was called ActionNames. The thing it did well then, and still does, was let you logically link your PIM data together. So your appointments and contacts were linked together, not just typed in as text. There was one feature quirk with the WM version that left me unable to use it. It has to do with my employer sticking a lot of conference call-in info in one of the fields in Notes that didn't map to a field that didn't easily show the info in Agendus. But this is not something that would be a problem for 99.99 percent of the population, just a combination of circumstances. They just came out this week with the Premier version... prior to that, I didn't see any showstopper features separating Standard from Pro.

Thanks, Convergent. Not a lot there that really interests me now. I'm really looking for something that will allow me to sync with (and filter out many of) thousands of constantly updated Contacts in a public corporate folder separate from my personal contacts. Any ideas?

Thanks, that's what I've been doing but I'm looking for something more efficient. I know public folders are being outmoded but not sure what's best in the meantime.

Thanks for the free gift Convergent. I used "ActionNames" back when I used a Palm and I missed the capabilities. This is great.
