Mobitricity released eReader Pro 3.0 for Windows Mobile last week and added some key new fetures. In the past, if you wanted to purchase an eBook, you had to go to the website with a PC, purchase it, and then download it to your mobile device. This doesn't help you when you are stuck in an airport.... or even worse, no a plane sitting on a runway. The new release lets you carry a bookstore in your pocket because you can find download and read your eBooks whenever you want and wherever you go. The latest version now includes an interactive over-the-air shopping experience. You can access the entire eReader catalog as well as your personal bookshelf right from your mobile device. Browse titles, make purchases and instantly download books directly to your device anytime, anywhere.
In addition to all of the standard features of eReader, eReader Pro also allows customers to:
- Instantly browse, purchase and download eBooks directly from your mobile device!
- Access your personal bookshelf directly from your device!
- Add bookmarks, navigate, and search for words in your ebook.
- Purchase the reference pack to enhance your reading experience - select any word and easily look it up using your dictionary.
- Adjust several display features to personalize your eReader, such as justification of text and line spacing.
- Take advantage of Auto Scroll viewing features to enhance readability.
- Use RSVP (Rapid Serial Visual Presentation) to read your eBooks easily and quickly!
You can also pick up Agfa Monotype's great, a set of three TrueType font faces designed specifically to work with eReader Pro for your Windows Mobile device. This will give you maximum control of the appearance of your eBooks. These fonts have been handcrafted by Agfa Monotype's expert designers to give you a great reading experience with eReader Pro. This is only available for the Windows Mobile Professional version, not the Standard version (Smartphone).
The best news about eReader I've saved for last. They dropped the price for the Windows Mobile version from $14.95 to $0. That's right, its free! I guess they believe they'll sell a lot more books with this version. They've also dropped the price on the other versions (Palm, Symbian, etc.) to $4.95, and those versions do not yet allow you to buy over the air.
On the next page you fill find screen shots of eReader Pro.
