We successfully completed the migration to our new server over this weekend. We had one outage each morning due to some firewall problems that I hope are solved, but otherwise it went very smoothly. My hats off to our technical team for taking care of it without any latency problems that we usually see when moving to a new data center. For those of you that have been dealing with delays and overloads for the last few months, I'd like to say thank you with a sale in our
PDAPhoneHome Store. From now until 10/20/2007, all software in the store will be 15% off for registered members of
PDAPhoneHome. Just use coupon code "
server" when you are checking out to receive the discount.
For the geeks in the crowd (wait a minute, aren't all
PDAPhone owners geeks by definition?), here are the specs on the new server. We now are running on a SuperMicro server with dual Woodcrest Dual-core processors, 4G or RAM, and SCSI 10K rpm drives. This is quite a step up from our three year old Dell dual Xenon Single-core box with 2G of RAM and EIDE drives.
