<img src="images/hardware-neonode-n1.jpg" align="right">I often get to talk with people about their plans for buying a pdaPhone. One device that comes up from time to time is the Neonode N1. This device has been discussed in the media for many months, but its hard to tell if it is any closer to being real.
German website AreaMobile managed to arrange an interview with Neonode president Magnus Goertz. They discussed everything from the small size of the company (15 people) to the planned price of the N1 (approximately 520 Euros). The N1 is based on Windows CE, but not the Pocket PC Phone Edition platform common with many other pdaPhones. The N1 will be unique. No details were given about timeframes and markets. No specifics were given about partners. Can a 15 person company take on the likes of Nokia and Motorola to win the minds of the big carriers? It would be a major accomplisment to say the least.
