Pdaphonehome Users To Sprint:Release The i550!!!

Pdaphonehome user Reidme, has drafted a petition to Sprint to release the Samsung SPH-i550.

Before being scrubbed, the i550 was to be the successor to the i500, adding many innovative features, including an external hybrid oled external screen, a high-res internal screen, a speakerphone, a javascript web browser, real sms, downloadable and custom ringers, flash non-volatile memory, an sdi/o slot, a megapixel camera with flash, a camcorder, and an mp3 player, to the popular flip-style pdaphone.

The more people who sign the petition, the better chance that sprint will be compelled into releasing the i550!

Does anyone know why Sprint won't release the phone? Maybe it does not work well on their network? Maybe it works too well? (then I agree with you) I would hate to see you guys end up like those poor suckers who purchased the HP PPC phone from TMO only to have it not work to the point of having to be pulled from the market.

Eh... sorry guys but the i550 is dead. It will never be released on sprint unfortunately... at least that was the last words of Rave...

It would be nice if Sprint would come out and say this. With folks working for Samsung saying the phone will be released on Sprint as recently as a few weeks ago, the only other side I've seen is from non-official/rumor sites. Oh well

My i500 still works....

Of course, now that the Chinese version of the i550 is being released, I guess that puts to rest all the talk that it was "obsolete" tech. Sounds like it fits in to a growing/higher end cell market, and the US is far less advanced, techtoy wise. Oh well.
