Treo 6x0 WiFi, at last!

Enfora has announced a WiFi sled for the Treo 600 and 650, following on the success of their sled/cases for the T|E and TW/TT/T2/T3.

One model's for the 600, another for the 650, and both have an internal battery so (unlike the hacked SDIO card for the 650), WiFi will not drain your Treo's battery to oblivion in short order. Your SD/SDIO/MMC slot also is free, so you can leave data and apps on an SD card and launch them from there to counter the usable memory shortage of the 650.

$150 price point, if rumor's correct, with shipment of the 600 version in February, followed a month later by the 650 version.

Wifi yes, mobility no

May as well combine the sled with a cradle, and call it a dock.

PalmOne has no clue, they need WiFi built in not through add ons or at least nothing more than a WiFi SD Card. Its just more bulky.

Exactly. Large, expensive, clunky, and brings you right back to having two devices. That's why we moved on to onne device in the first place.

No way in H*ll I'd buy that.

I agree, not to mention is is something else to have to charge and keep a charger for. I miss the Wifi I had on my PDA2K, but not as much as I missed the Treo when I was using the PDA2K. Why can't I have EVERYTHING I want in one device?

Just purchased my 650 having replaced both my cell phone and Tungsten C.

Seems like Palm is playing catch up again!

I just have to wait again..last year was bluetooth...now it's wifi....sheeesh!! I hope I don't have to wait another year for a new treo.....might have to go ipaq...they atleast have bt headphones and wifi built in......shame on palm

at the International CES they told us that wifi was roughly 1.5 to 2 years away in the treo product development map because of issues like battery power
