So far Sony has left Palm out in the cold when it comes to pda phones. "Sony Ericsson" is equally owned by both Sony and Ericsson to provide mobile communication products. Sony has a partnership with Symbian OS to develop pda phones probably because Symbian is owned by Ericsson (as well as by Motorola, Panasonic and Psion). I've also heard that Sony would partner with Microsoft on some type of smart phone in the future. However I have heard nothing about an agreement between Sony and Palm except for other types of net devices (besides phones).
My guess is that Sony's business (and political) climate is currently preventing Sony from using Palm for pda phones. I'm sure these forums will be among the first to hear of any future Sony/Palm agreements on pda phones.
