Locking the WM Phone based on bluetooth connectivity??

Hi,
I am new in the field of Windows Mobile 5....
I have to develop an application that will ping a bluetooth device (eg a headset) after each mintue and as long as it recieves a reply ,the phone will stay in unlocked state but as soon as the bluetooth device is not in the range of phone, so the phone will automatically go to locked state and prompt a user password.

1)Is it possible to lock the phone based on a reply from a bluetooth device? I found a function SHDeviceLockAndPrompt() but it will work only with Windows CE 5.01 and later...i need something that should work also with 5.0 (and may be little more older versions also)

2)if its connected with the bluetooth headset and the user is talking at that time on phone, will the pinging process in my application interfere the talking?

any suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Thanks

I do not know how to lock and prompt for password. My program just invokes the today screen lock, but not the password lock. I can tell you how to do that if you want, but that does not seem like what you want to do.

About the bluetooth, sorry cant help there either. I don not really know anything about working with the wireless radios. I dont know how to program any of the wireless functions.

you may want to try over at http://www.xda-developers.com they're more into the blood-n-guts programing.

But be sure to post your prog over here to cause I would really like something like that - say at a bar, or whereever, if you loose your phone it's much safer!!!
