Geeze I wish it would solve mine! People keep saying that this fix or that fix solved their problem. My problem remains. zizo72, I see you have a PPC-6700. What BT headset do you have? What media player are you using? What happens when you try what I describe above?
I just use the PPC6700 with Moto H700 for basic sling player and now I can re route the audio thru the headset. That was my problem.
did you rename the btaudio.exe file to "audio gateway.exe" ?
yup, named it that. Did i load it correctly? I saved your zip file to pc desktop, unzipped and got 1 file, the bt audio. copied this to the start/programs/audio gateway.exe. is the correct? Again, if i tap the program on the screen, no problemo!?
I am using a ppc6700 with the bt hack that allowed VC 1.5 to work with a bt headset. If I install VC 1.6 will I need to revert the hack settings back or will everything work fine as is?
That hack was to stop voice dialer (sprint pre-loaded software) from starting instead of of voice command. I did the hack previously installed 1.6 and it works fine, if that helps.

Wow, you guys seem to be having a lot of problems with 1.6. Yikes. Everything works fine for me except I can't initiate VC through my BT headset. I'm still stuck pressing a button on my phone to start VC. Oh, well. It's better than nothing, I guess.
Can someone please clarify the answer to this question regarding MSVC 1.6:
With the PPC-6700 does the announcement of incoming calls come through the BT headset? Thanks.
Go to http://pdaphonehome.com/forums/pdaph...ailable-4.html post number 64. Do what Xyzzy shows in this post. After go to settings>buttons assign that program to a button, I used IE button. When a call comes i I hit the IE button and I hear the caller ID thru my BT E.G. call from home at home. Then to answer tap your BT power button. This works I don't know of any other way. Saves me from pulling phone from my holster because IE button is on the side.
It won't though automatically upon ring put the incoming call to the BT headset, right? After setting up as you've indicated, you still need to press a button on hearing the call to route it to the headset. That doesn't help me because the 6700 is either deep in a pocket or in a purse for me.
You are correct. I have my phone in a sedio hoster clipped on the inside of my pocket. I know where the button is by heart so it works out nice for me. Sorry that it doesn't work out for you. I wish there was way to have this go automatically to BT without a push of a button. Actually I was wrong on this not working without pushing a button. If you open the gateway with the program as stated in this post by Stephen it will work without pushing an assigned button.BT Audio works. Solves Audio Gateway.

Right you are, bootheresa! As I noted in a previous post (seems like long ago but it was actually only yesterday), Blade's BTA program works perfectly. I can hear caller ID and announcements through my Plantronics 640 and also keep my MP3s and other audio streaming through it.
BT Audio has a little tray icon option so it can sit there for quick restarts and easily renewed audio gateway functionality when you use VC1.6 and break the connection.
It's an extra step and one that needs to be repeated whenever you or VC break the BT connection. But for now anyway, it and the 1.6 improvements seem to be about as good as it's going to get.
For more on BT Audio, see www.trianglepowers.com
BTW, it works if you don't rename it as long as you list it in your start menu/programs folder.

What all is involved in a WM5.3 upgrade from 5.0? Is it relatively painless, and cheap?
For a device like the i730, I don't think we'll ever see it. Not unless it can be hacked from another device, which I doubt. Each verision of WM5 is configured for each device. If you have a newer device, you may see an upgrade. Not too difficult to install (it's just a reflash--think of reinstalling windows on your PC), but your carrier needs to release an upgrade that it gets from your pda's manufacturer.
