Activesync and network syncing

I've searched and searched and haven't found the answer so I'll just take my chances and ask it.

Is Microsoft going to put the ability to sync over a network back in to Activesync? I use the i730 and do not use Exchange so being able to sync via WiFi or EVDO to my desktop is big for me. I tried Verizon's Wireless sync, but I wasn't impressed due to some of the limitations. I'd hate to lose the ability with the WM5 upgrade coming soon.

Not in AS 4.x. It was removed due to "network security concerns."

If you are using AS 3.8 with your i730 and it is working, that may be a good reason NOT to upgrade to WM5, since it will require AS 4.x.

4smartphone.net

You can always sign up for 4smartphone.net which is an exchange server that allows for a lot more than just syncing.

worth a check out at
www.4smartphone.net

They have a free trial to.

This service was just what I was looking for. Syncing PC/PHONE/ONLINE also.

Enjoy.
