How to upgrade Verizon Kyocera 6035

Hi all,

I just bought an old phone, Kyocera 6035. Though its old, I still like it. I happened to do some google and download some cool stuff form your website. I am wondering if you can help me upgrading the Palm OS on my phone. Right now I am using Palm OS version 3.5.3 and SX 1.1.12 and KX 1.1.21 and PRL 50202. I am wondring if there is any update availabe after palm version 3.5.3 and form where I can have it. I happened to see on net that Kyocera can be updated with Palm version 4 but I couldnt find a link to download it. Any help?

Thanks .

Regards,

I was not aware that the OS could be upgraded on the 6035 (I don't think it can be). However, since I never owned one, cannot say for sure. As a general rule of thumb, PalmOS smartphones cannot have their OSs upgraded. However, you may wish to post this in the 6035 forum where it would be more appropriate and you would be more likely to get a better response.

I was going to say I thought 3.5.2 was the latest (it was when I had it anyway), so I would say 3.5.3 would be it. Have you searched the 6035 forum?

the 6035 cannot be updated to 4+ without rewriting the entire ROM.... and the phone wont handle it. I tried, it just fries..
