It looks like some information has leaked about two upcoming Windows Mobile CDMA HTC phones coming to Sprint! They are code named Diamond (HTC Touch Diamond) and Raphael (HTC Touch Pro).
For now here's what we can gather from the leaked photos, and information from reliable sources. It's unclear if all of these features will be in the released version, or if some will be disabled (such as GPS was in the Titan initially). It seems likely the devices will debut on GSM before appearing on Sprint. Sprint is slating Q3 for the Diamond and Q4 for the Raphael. It seems likely that the Diamond could even hit before end of Q2 on GSM in Europe, with the Raphael to follow in Q3.
"We already knew it was coming, now HTC has seemingly confirmed that its Diamond handset will be announced next month presumably at the May 6th event. The wording of the Taipei Times article (which we assume was translated from Chinese) leaves HTC's comments open to interpretation. Speaking to a group of investors, HTC's financial executive Cheng Hui-ming, said that revenues will grow by 20% this year thanks to the launch of a new Touch phone next month. Referring to the HTC Diamond by name, he then calls the device "the most important product for HTC this year."
Bleeding edge stuff recently announced by UK company CSR in February. Basically it’s like aGPS but better (Qualcomm's upcoming gpsOneXTRA will be a competitor).
A typical eGPS push-to-fix will be available in less than 4 seconds, accurate to within 10 meters and require the equivalent power of less than 1 second of handset talk time.
It works indoors, when the device is powered down, uses less battery, acquires the sat signal faster and works globally.
How do the sizes compare to other HTC devices?
HTC Raphael (HTC Touch Pro) - 99x51x17mm
HTC Diamond (HTC Touch Diamond) - 99x51x10.7mm
HTC Vogue (Sprint Touch) - 102x60.96x15.24mm (4.0" x 2.4" x 0.6")
HTC Titan (Mogul) - 109.22x58.42x17.78mm (4.3" H x 2.3" W x 0.7" D)

Other info:
I think 7200A chipset is GSM only, there's some evidence that suggests the CDMA version will be based off the 7500A.
There is also information out there for model code named the "HTC Titanium" (HTC Touch Dual Pro). It's the updated version of the current Touch Dual. The Titanium/Touch Dual Pro is speculated to have that current slider dial pad but otherwise keeps the Touch Pro's specs. No information available if this model will be available for Sprint.
Hmmm. I've only had my Mogul for less than 30 days - should I return it and wait?
Am I in the Twilight Zone? Where are you people getting your information from? My post and the source articles make no mention of host USB or XGA/WVGA, just VGA.
A business rep from Verizon said that GSM is coming soon to Verizon to take advantage of some new data technology that will be even faster than EVDO RevA and make it a world phone. I didn't think GSM had a chance speedwise against CDMA!
Hmmm...

I confess I don't know if the device will have it, but go to the link on the QCT 7500A and look at the capabilities.
Ahh I see, well the Mogul uses 7500 (non A) and it's also capable of WVGA and USB host, but that's not what was implemented in the final product.
From the leaked spec sheet of the Raphael and Diamond we can see that they implemented VGA (Not WVGA) and no mention is made of USB host. See I think we can draw the proper conclusions from that.

He must be talking about LTE, that's 4G technology, and it will be most likely be put up against Sprint's upcoming WiMax network. Don't hold your breath, trials for Verizon LTE start in late 2008, with no current schedules for any phones that support it.

i can guarantee that the phone will not be available till next year, and it will be as usually as all winmo devices buggy. Keep your Mogul and save it as a backup phone.
Actually, the MSM7500 in the Mogule IS rev A (cf. recent rom upgrade) .
As for VZW going GSM, Vodaphone's been wanting them to do that for YEARS, and it's quite concievable that they have GSM cpability on their towers (just turned off at the moment). So if they wanted to implement HSPA (3.6-7.2 Mbs down) I bet they could implement it in a heartbeat.
LTE is a different story, but all good things come to those who wait...and wait...and wait....
Can you provide a quote? The spec sheet screenshots for both phones specify EVDO Rev A which is a CDMA only technology. The Engadget article also specifies that both phones are going to Sprint, which is a CDMA (not GSM) network.

When I said "Non A" I meant the difference in model names between the chipsets the phones (Mogul & Raphael) use "MSM7500" vs "MSM7500A".
