Hello everyone! Newbie here, first post, great forum, have already picked up quite a few tips for my first data phone- thanks!

I've looked through the pages here, but couldn't find anything on this problem- I can't see anything on the screens when I'm outside- I have to put a towel over my head or something. The "Outside" profile doesn't seem to do anything There has to be something that can be done- is it so obvious that I am missing it?? Never had this problem w/ any other phones!

is the backlight even working?

Well, it looks fine indoors and in good shade, but outside forget it- i even compared it w/ my old regular motorola.

you may have a backlight issue. i'm in AZ and i can see my screen in the sun.

are you wearing sunglasses? and are they Polarized? if so, take them off

Thank you for the replies . I know about the sunglasses- it's not the problem. It's fine indoors, but even just driving when it's sunny out, it's hard to see. I guess I'll take it back to the store- maybe i can compare it to another one.

I went outside and couldn't read my phone either. i guess indoors its fine.
