Lost Calls, Lost Texts, Lost VM indicators

Hi,

I have been using this phone for several weeks. Lately, I've been discovering that my phone frequently goes through to voicemail without the phone ringing at all or the call even showing up in missed calls. My coverage where I am most of the time is great, so i don't think it is a signal strength issue.

The voicemail indicator may pop up some time later, like up to an hour after the call. Also some texts just never seem to arrive.

The only thing I could think of is that my Outlook is set to check email every 15 minutes, so perhaps while the data call is in progress, someone is happening to call at the same time. But I think it is a bit far-fetched that someone happens to be calling at the exact moment Outlook is downloading an email.

Is anyone having a similar experience with this phone? And does anyone have any suggestions?

Don't forget that lots of times people with verizon can reply to your voicemail by pressing 8 and you will not get a call indicator. Make sure that you friends are not just responding to your calls.

That said, when was the last time the phone was rebooted? Sometimes things just hang. Also, is your phone checking email every 30 minutes or is outlook "pushing" mail to your phone every 30 minutes. If it is push then that should not be causing the problem since it should only send you messages with new email to your outlook account.

My phone checks my internet email accounts every 30 minutes and I have no problems such as you described other than when my phone is locking up and needs to be rebooted. Sometimes if a call comes in while the phone is fetching email, it will cancel the email sync and the call still comes thru.

I found that I was having this same problem. People saying that they tried to call me and it would immediately go to voicemail. Then I would never get the voicemail indicator. It would be at least 24 hours later and still no notification. I would check for voicemail and there it was. Just something that I can't afford to have. Turned off my 820 for the last time and got a Q. It's only a couple of months old if anyone is interested in it. I'll sell it cheap.
