phone hung at windows Mobile screen

I decided to give the pn-820 a test drive, but I think I may have bricked my first phone Installed phone alarm beta and when I soft reset the phone hangs at the windows screen. Removed the battery for a couple mins no luck. Tried superdaves bootloader to see if that would hard reset phone but no luck there either. I'll be heading to the store this afternoon unless someone has an idea.

First, please e-mail Bruce about this issue at "support AT pocketmax.net" and make sure you tell him that you have a Pantech PN-820 which froze after installing PA. The reason being is that I have been working with Bruce on this issue for several weeks and I'm sure he will want to know that it is not just me.

Now, as for getting your 820 working again, remove the battery, replace the battery, power on the phone and immediately hold down the center blue "okay" button. This will hard reset the phone and get you up and running again.

Bruce keeps sending me new builds of PA and once one is working on the PA I will post here so that you know it is safe to proceed.

David

Sorry I didnt get your message until now, I have already returned it for a new one. I will definitely let Bruce know. I didnt mean this post as a slam on phone alarm, I use it religiously on my 730, really I cant live without it. I did a little bit of beta testing last year for the short time I had a Q. I googled all over looking for hard reset directions (I didnt look in the manual, I will admit, maybe its in there).

Thanks for your help.

No worries. I didn't interpret your post as a slam on PA, at all!

BTW, like you I am a current 820/former i730 user.
