PN-820 and mni sd

I've got a PN-820 and I just bought a 1G mini sd card. Are there any resources on how to use the card? I want to transfer stuff from the phone to the card and from the PC to the card. Can I do all this with the card in the phone? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Yes, just put the card in the phone and connect to the computer via the cable. Then go to your my computer and you should see an icon for mobile device and then in the directories browse around until you find the storage card directory.

There it is. Also to save some memory, make sure and install most applications to the storage card instead of the main memory. When you install, the phone will ask you where to install to.

For me, I have about half a gig of music and work document on the card and the other half of the storage card is basically blank, but I use it to transfer files from one computer to another all the time.

Hope that helps

To expand on his "how to find your SD card"... for me its:
MyComputer -> Mobile Device -> My Windows Mobile-Based Device -> Storage Card

That will take you to your SD card and show you the contents. Like sanjonny, I have music/video/etc. I downloaded/purchased Spb Mobile DVD, and it will turn a full length movie into a 250-400mb video file for portable watching. Makes airplane flights a lot of fun, although this screen is a bit smaller than my previous PPC that I got it for. It plays movies as video files thru WMP, its slick!

And yes I agree 100% with sj, install all your apps on the SD card, its well worth it to save space off the main unit. G'luck!

I've replied to your PM, Ogrish. Make sure you see the SD-card logo at the top of your phone screen, to confirm the phone recognizes that the card has been inserted. Try to take a picture to that device, as I explained how to in the PM (this should also be covered in your owners manual). Assuming you are able to recognized the SD card and take pictures onto that card, then you should be able to access it via your PC. Hope you can!

dumb-smartphone?

I'm trying to do something similar on my phone and I went to the directory you said here and didn't have a "->storage card" in that folder. I'd like to put Mp3s on my card (that I bought only for this purpose), And play them on my phone. I can see an Icon and take pics to the card. But if I put the music right on the card I cant find them from the onboard media player, nor sync from pc media player. or even see the card from my pc when in my phone, like it doesn't exist exept from the camera and icon.

Do I need an update? Or something?
