Is there an easy way to enable/disable this application? While it is incredibly useful, there are times when I don't want the reminders. Also, while I haven't tested this again, I had a problem where I set my phone to the "silent" profile, yet I still got the nag alarm when an e-mail was received.
Thanks as always.
David
P.S. Any update on hacking the external display and/or kepad?
I downloaded the latest version. For some reason it no longer beeps but vibrates only. I am using normal profile and smmsgnotify.wav is in Windows folder.
the problem I described in forum on 4/25/2007 with phone only vibrating was my volume settings. However, the problem I described on 4/21/07 regarding message being left while phone is off is still not fixed - the is no repeated notification after phone is powered on, there is only one standard notification. I tried sending you PM but your mailbox is overfilled
Help! For some reason I can't get this installed and working on my phone. Haven't copied to a smartphone for a while. I looked but didn't find a thread on loading a smartphone here, could someone please remind me of the procedure for this so I can get Dave's file to work on my phone? Thanks so much!
Thanks, as always, for an incredibly useful app. I know you said you may make some options configurable in the future. If so, I would love to be able to turn off notifications for emails only. I receive so many emails and am at my desk most of the time anyway, that I don't want to have to check them twice. But I love having the notifications for missed calls and voice mails.
Anyway, thanks again for your work and consideration.
I love this app., but I have a question. When I have my phone in the silent profile, I still get both a vibration and a tone. Why aren't these silent in the silent profile? How do I fix this?
That will definitely be in the next release, hope to have something soon.

Sorry about that, hopefully there was not an embarrassing situation with it The app is currently only monitoring the "Meeting" profile (it needs to be named that). That profile is mapped to holding down of the * key so I just used it. Ill add the silent profile checking in the next release. In the mean time you can achieve the same thing you want the silent profile to do with the meeting profile. You can also use the * button to switch back and forth with that profile.

Thanks so much for putting this app together, it definitely makes the phone more usable.
I have one small bug that bothers me with it though (I know, gift horse, etc ).
1) plug the phone into your computer
2) Receive an email - your phone will vibrate / beep
3) Read the email on your computer
You will continue to get alerts every minute, even though the state of the message on your phone changed to "read".
Maybe not possible with the notification system on the phone. I'd actually love to be able to disable new email alerts altogether - I don't get emailed pushed to me, so it doesn't really benefit me to be alerted to new ones at all.
Any chance of getting to work with the reminders from the calendar? I think this was brought up before, but if you could figure it out that would really help.
How do you install this app using the .cab file in the .zip file? Other apps I've installed have an .exe or install notes.
Sounds like a great app to address shortcomings of the phone so I'd like to install it.
Thanks
Copy the .CAB file to your phone (when your phone is plugged in/sync'd with your computer you can access it that way, or put it on your SD card). You can then open the file on your phone after you find it with the File Explorer. Trying to open a CAB file will "execute" the installation of the app. G'luck!
This is a wonderful app - it should have been built into the phone from the beginning. I've missed many messages because the phone just sits there after a call/message - not any more.
Thanks Super Dave for creating this.
