Tips for Saving Battery Life

If you are not getting acceptable battery life, change the following two settings: 1) turn off "turbo mode, and (2) turn off "beam". Both are enabled out of the box and suck up considerable power.

for those that cannot find these, they are under (1) Settings>IPM Power mode>Turbo mode/Normal mode... and (2) Settings>Connections>Beam...

By the way, I can't find anything in the manual on IPM Power mode... is it Images Per Minute? I have noticed a little difference in the way the device changes screens with turbo off... a little bit slower, about like a Q...

Thanks for clarifying the exact location of these settings . . . I didn't have my phone in front of me when I posted.

Not sure of the meaning of "IPM" either, but I assume it is similar to the setting on other devices which lowers the processor speed. I've had turbo off since the day I got the phone and really haven't experienced any issues - even with processor intensive apps like Slingplayer.

i think that is what it has to be... not necessarily for apps in particular, but watch the way the screen response is between the two modes... off to the local pub for pool...
