Utilize MMS Messaging without MMS Client

I talked to verizon before ordering this phone, and they told me I could send picture messages without using data - unlike other PDAs which utilize it. We have an old calling plan since no one else in my family uses text messaging.

When I called verizon the lady talked to me like I was an idiot, telling me pix messaging has ALWAYS used data. I explained that none of my other phones charged me for usage if that was the case.

In reading the manual supplied by verizon, it states MMS messaging can be used two ways on the PN-820:
1) without using the wireless network
2) using MMS Client, through the wireless network (in which case you must setup an wireless or dialup connection first)

I did not setup an internet connection, but the phone is automatically sent connected and I can't change that.

Can someone please help me turn off the settings for wireless internet on this phone, or at least help me make the phone use MMS without using data? There has to be a way since the manual states there are two ways. Verizon just altered the phone so I HAVE to use data for something I'm already paying for (I pay for txt/pix/flix already)!

Please don't tell me they are not charging me, because they are and they admitted it on the phone. There has to be some settings in the registry that can be altered to turn it off manually. Please help me!

Don't know

Don't know if this is it, but go to settings, than connections, on wireless manager, then click the menu button. #1 should be disconnect cellular data. Never tried it, just saw it playing around.
