Upgrade/Downgrade?

Hey guys, im new to the forum i was just wondering a few things about the phone First of all, i have had the Motorola Q for quite some time now and i love it, im still using WM5.0 and i have done a lot of upgrading to the phone so far. Im just getting sick of the annoying size of the phone and want to go back to a flip phone but i dont think i could handle not having a smartphone anymore.

So i was wondering, with this phone are you still able to load applications such as TCPMP or even the PocketNester things on here? I use TCPMP to view pictures a lot and like how it functions. Really wondering if the phone has a good app for viewing pictures with diff extension like .gif or .jpg and all.

Second and kind of importantly to me, are you able to hide files on the phone? I know with the Q you can make files hidden or even system files to make it easier to filter the viewing of them (I will leave out why i need this =P)

I know the Q and this phone both have WM5 but i just dont know if they both function the same or if i would be able to do less with this phone if i picked it up. Any help would be much appreciated

I have a vx6800 and the pn-820. I love my 820. I use it when I am bored with my 6800. There are obvious limitations when coming from a PocketPC to a smartphone but being that it is a flip phone is a big advantage. The pn-820 is not an upgrade but not a downgrade either. Really they work the same. You will probably miss the full keyboard from the Q, but you will get used to it very fast. Plus all the software you have from the Q works on the 820. Yes anything you can do on the Q, you can do on the pn-820. At $10 bucks you can't go wrong....Enjoy!

I would strongly recommend getting an extended battery for the PN-820 also. The thin battery that comes with it may be fine for you but the extended battery allows you to do a lot more with your phone and not having to worry about the battery going dead. You can find them on ebay for really cheap. I recently got one for a friend for 11 bucks with shipping. They are kind of hard to find but if you look a lot, you'll find one. The cool thing is that the extended battery doesn't make it as fat as you might think. Hope this helps.
