I checked out Wiki and hear and didnt find anything...googled and still nothing so think she is stuck...

Like any women she is not satisfied w/ just having a new fangled phone she wants it just like her other one in some ways...

The contacts on this...when you touch a letter it doesnt pull up all the (m)'s for instance...it shows all the stuff with (m) in it...she want to look for Mary and press M and all them things that start with M to come up not all the stuff that have M to come up...like Roman....why would Roman come up when she is looking for Mary?

THis is a bit annoying i give her that...is there an option i cant find!...

PS..the AS hack was nice to find in WIKI...TIA to whoever....

I don't know of any contacts fix for what your wife wants. However, I like the fact that it pulls up contacts like it does. Does she know that she can type "627" for "mar" and she'll get a short list with T9 choices. When I try that in Pocket Informant 8, it enters "map" which gives me no results. I'll keep a look out and let you know if I find anything.

Where it caused an issue was when she tried to enter a name with the same # twice...like hmmm....Carl...Norman...or so on....

So we know in her Contacts there is a Carlton...but when we type in 227...like it wants...it still gives me a list of every name w/ the combinations of those 6 letters...instead of allowing us to go through which of the letter on the 2 we want...like the C....and then the A....

Make since...so to get to Carlton...doing 227...i still have to go thorough over a dozen names to get to Carlton...lol...thats redicoulus...lol

Try the last name instead of the first name that might help with the results being fewer. Just my $0.02

lol...no last name...lol....guess the overall answer is she is out of luck...there is no option to change how the contacts are searched....in most PDA...or smartphones...ie my 6700 i choose how it looks them up...

Next question....new post...thx for the answer...
