I was reading through some old posts and saw that someone mentioned that Windows Live Search will work with the built in GPS on the 820. Is this true?

I downloaded Live Search and had it center the map based on GPS, but eventually it times out.

Google maps gives me an error within a matter of seconds.

If this truly is supposed to work (it's rainy here today, so I suppose that could affect it), what do I need to set my GPS Port to? My choices are No GPS, GPS COM0 - GPS COM9, and GPS Intermediate Driver.

There is no built in GPS in the PN-820 phone. You can get a Google maps locaiton by entering an address, or it uses your cell service I think as well to locate your phone perhaps? But there isn't a built-in GPS in the PN-820 for starters, so that is an issue right there. G'luck!

make sure they arent using a BT GPS RCV'R in whatever post u looked at...alot of people are using live and for free GPS routing and stuff...at least from the 6700 side of things...personally i use IG...
