Internal Bluetooth Headset for Tungsten W
Good Evening to all,
First and foremost I would like to say that when I first began this project it was because I was so mad at Palm for not including it in the T/W in the first place, as time went on and I drew up a plan and prepared possible concerns of what might happen?, Then the back of the T/W came off the first thing in my head was “There goes the warranty!!” and that is one of the main issues in this conversion. Everyone must understand that by doing this conversion “Your warranty will be void” if your unit is more than 90days old and the 1 year screen protection warranty was not purchased (Go to the Palm site for warranty details) then you have no problem, although you might convince a Palm representative to give you a refurbished one as a replacement if you return it as purchased without the stated modifications.
I am saying this now to make everyone aware so I don’t get people telling me they did not know?, now that off my chest we will proceed to the specifics of the conversion.
Detailed pictures will be posted on web site (End of this week) of the completed Tungsten W’s. www.pda-cdrr.com site under construction.
Internal Bluetooth headset "Self-Kits #1" is no longer to be supported and I don't want to be held legally responsible for any that get damaged. Because of tooling issues of Beta users; there is a level of skill and tooling necessary for a successful completion of this "Self-Kits #1" and all of the Beta users agreed (7 T/W’s DEAD) to better have a qualified personnel with the required tooling and knowledge to accomplish this task successfully and professionally.
ORDERS FOR KITS WILL START TO BE TAKEN AT END OF JUNE 2003 POSSIBLY SOONER SO STAY TUNED IN.
Thank you all for your support and patience

Talk Time (min)---7hr 20min---8hr 9min---9hr 22min---7hr 55min---6hr 39min
The PDA functions were used and email downloads that were not included in the above times, The average time was 7.882hrs and I think that is more than acceptable bearing in mind the amount of use these T/W's got. More testing to follow.
