Does anyone know if the Palm Pre has a slot for RUIM sim? Or can we solder the RUIM slot on the back on the pre?

Correct me if I am wrong, but does this mean once i have soldered the RUIM sim slot and synced my GSM SIM, the Pre should be able to work on a GSM network?

No, a phone, any phone, including Pre, that is not GSM, cannot become a GSM phone just by soldering a piece of hardware--any piece of hardware--onto it. It is an entirely different electronic system, and you will have to wait until the GSM Pre is released by Palm, which is fairly imminent, although it won't happen in the US for many many months--perhaps close to a year.
