Mobile Agenda Integrates Basic Palm PIM Functions

I have never been a big fan of the "built in" PIM applications on either the Palm or Pocket PC platforms. For some reason, neither PalmSource or Microsoft have enhanced them very much since the first day the platforms were available. They both lack a great deal in integration.

Mobile Systems has recently made available a new product that improves on the PIM functions for the Palm platform. Mobile Agenda is Palm application that allows you to view your day at a glance by managing your tasks, contacts and meetings. The program unifies the functionalities of the in-built Palm applications ToDo Manager, Address book, MemoPad and Date Book in single program.

Mobile Agenda is also integrated with the above Palm programs and any data entered in either Mobile Agenda or the standard Palm applications will be saved and accessible in both programs. That compatibility ensures the seamless synchronization with the Palm desktop software and maintains your important contacts and tasks up-to-date on both your handheld device and desktop computer.

Mobile Agenda allows high level of customization of the appearance of Contact Lists and thus provides flexible and quick navigation in large contacts databases.

Key features:
  • Contacts filtering
  • Sorting by several attributes
  • Grouping of contact by criterion
  • Storage of records by Category
  • Alarm
  • Palm OS 5 compatibility
  • Support for Hi-Res inclusive Sony Clie 480 x 320 hi-res
I have not had a chance to try this out yet, so I don't know how well it will work with the integrated dialing functions and other specialized hardware and software in Palm based pdaPhones. Please report your findings if you try it.

You can download a trial or purchase it at Handango.
