I think we have to give some credit to Handspring for the job they've done getting the Treo 600 to market. I was just looking at a thread in our Treo 600 forum from back in June when the availability date for Sprint was speculated as this week. I have one in my hands now that was ordered through a retail channel.... within a week of that date.
Not that that wasn't a major accomplishment in itself, Handspring is rolling this out on two radio technologies - GSM/GPRS and CDMA; in two continents - US and Europe; and with 5 different carriers initially... each with their own version - Orange, Sprint PCS, AT&T Wireless, T-Mobile, and Cingular. How many companies have ever pulled off something like this before with a pdaPhone? Whether you like the Treo or not, whether you are a Pocket PC or Palm or Symbian guy, you have to give them credit for a go to market strategy that seems to be running like clock work.
I haven't gotten to play with mine yet... still charging. But, I took some pictures of it along side a variety of other pdaPhones for you to get a good comparison. Wow, is this thing tiny.
